2000 BMW M Coupe
Titanium Silver Metallic / Black Napa
WBSCM9345YLC61246
Current Mileage: 136,XXX
Price: $15,000
I purchased this coupe November 4, 2011 from a local enthusiast. I'm not shy in saying that it was in very rough shape when I took possession, but has come a long way from that day. Since then I've been putting time in here and there to get it back into a presentable condition.
I'll detail some of the work I performed below to bring it to this point.
131,433 - Purchased
131.609 - Replaced Bent Wheel
131,609 - Replaced Broken Springs
131,609 - Replaced Strut Top Hats
131,609 - Replaced Spark Plugs
131,609 - Replaced Drivers Side Interior Door Handle
131,609 - Replaced Drivers Side Window Regulator
131,609 - Fixed One Touch Windows
131,823 - Replaced Exhaust Mid-Section
131,823 - Custom Catback Exhaust With MagnaFlow 14815 Mufflers
131,823 - Four New Tires
133,809 - Repainted (Professionally, including replacement of rear bumper)
135,650 - Fixed Inoperative Turnsignals
135,650 - Installed Full Interior
135,874 - Installed New Oxygen Sensors
(This list is not all inclusive, I'm sure there's other major work that I've recently performed.)
The car now has a current VA state safety inspection and has passed VA emissions testing (which, if you live in VA, know how much of a pain it can be.)
Here are the list of goodies I can rattle off about it (but I'm sure there's some I'm missing):
Subframe has been reinforced - It's not a R.F. job, however it's good. I also received a positive second opinion from the shop who did my red coupes "bomb proof" subframe reinforcement;
3.73 rear end;
Ireland Subframe Bushings;
H&R Springs;
Billstein Shocks;
Custom Exhaust;
M50 Manifold;
Replica ACS Wing.
As far as the usual maintenance goes: new tires, new brakes, fresh oil change (just done yesterday)
I've put more money into than I can admit (don't ask, I won't tell!), but it is definitely a good coupe and has served as great daily driver for me. If you're looking for a perfect coupe, this isn't for you. However if you're looking for a good coupe that you're not afraid to drive, this is it. Would also make a great track car, etc.
So, why am I selling? A few simple reasons. First, we just purchased a new house and I'd like to use the funds to assist with some projects. Second, once my Red coupe is running again, I'll lose interest in this car. Third, I get nailed hard with property tax where I live. That simple!
I really hope that an enthusiast picks this up - I'd like to see it go to a good home.
Best,
Jonathan Thayer

Killer deal, haven't seen one this price in a while. Wish it was on this side of the Mississippi.

I am not against shipping it if a buyer was too far away - I just recently shipped my red brick from Atlanta, GA back home for a very reasonable price (uship.com). You could also fly in and drive it home for an epic road trip.
It's just a car note away, and the rates are VERY affordable these days. KBB suggested retail is $17,506.00, so getting a proper valuation by any lenders shouldn't be hard.
