I had a group buy with JOM on e30 kits and kept asking and asking about e34 specific and was told that they didn't make any. I got an email from my JOM distributor and he informed me had received a response from JOM that they had a kit coming specific to e34 (actually 3 kits) and asked me if I would interested in getting a set sent to me to see what interest would be. I just received what I believe is the first kit in the US.
This is similar in design to the e30 kit which I have sold over 300 of. No welding is new to e34 coilovers as I understand it.
JOM is a cheap coilover. Right out of the box just wanna get that out of the way.
I understand you dont love cheap things but this is a low cost budget coilover setup. I understand if you wanna tell me about how you feel about it. Please do.
I will install these on Tuesday and update the thread.

me too. In this thread a modified e39 kit was used so you get an idea of what we could be expecting. I am using these pictures without permission if you want these removed just let know.

They behave well on e30, and go quite low. If it's the same on e34 then you have a winner for cheap coilovers.
I've read on bmw-driver.net the drop may not be the full 90mm due to it being at the oem perch. Is this correct? So far I believe a 60mm drop works. I'm looking forward to your results and if you start a group buy I'll put in for an order on a touring.

You don't HAVE to cut and weld for e34 coilovers, but most do to get the most low.
I did not know that thank you for that info.

Clarity: you do not have to cut for nex. Bc, kido, ksport you DO have to cut an weld base on their design.
These require no welding to get real low??? That could be a major selling point
No one has asked but what is the price point on these?
I'm in for pricing and or guinnea pig at reduced cost.
FWIW e30 kits were $380 on another forum.

so, the ride height adjustment thing is actually the shock retaining cap also?
so the spring must end much higher than tyre height?

Interested to see the results. Around $400? I'd be willing to try my luck.
The E39 Jom coils are a bit over 200€ in germany and uk.
I love them on my E30 for DD use. And am pretty stoked to get a set for my E34.

Hardy har har
I admittedly couldn't figure out how to make the £ sign on my laptop.
Shut up and take my money!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the problem is the same with nex and not cutting the housing. they dont go very low. and the lower you have it, the worse its going to ride since there is no travel. the BC coil (old design) was this same way. to go low with coils, you have to cut and weld. i doubt the fronts here will even go vohg spring low.
i may have to eat my own words, but id like to see the front bottomed out on those.

I would honestly like to give respect to OP for saying they are cheap coilovers. I wish the VW MK4 world understood that.
I own mostly junk. Except the Porsche, that's kind of cool.
All the motorcycles are trash which you can read about at

I'll update it eventually
