Craigslist Find: Porsche Orange S54 M Coupe

Not my personal style, but it looks to be well done. Seems like a good price if it has a clean history. Full repaints always make you wonder though..

I saw this at Bimmerfest East and the time spent and attention to detail on this car is amazing. I'll defer comment on the color but the craftsmanship is a 10.

Yuk. But well priced if no previous history. This shouldn't last too long.

A note at the bottom of your listing claims the owner indicated it was a salvage/rebuild.

The color is bold, and though not my style, it isn't bad. However, the decision to paint the pillars and roof black = BIG FAIL, and the wheels are Fugly.

If the car was all orange and had either Roadstars or Volk wheels (like the TCK Z4 Carbon Coupe), the car would be interesting.

Well, someone beat me to it. I do like the color, but the roof needs to be orange too. By the way, those are roadstars - you just can't tell because they are black.

Wasn't that car built by a member here? The color is Inka Orange, IIRC...

I need to get that car before Halloween--I don't have anything to wear and that would do the job just fine--maybe I could paint it bright green by St. Patrick's day.

Yep, rebuilt title. Sunroof delete though. Good to hear that the craftsmanship was good.

Saw this one at BfestEast and snapped a pic of it.

Here's the pic of it at this past Bimmerfest East. I was very impressed with the attention to detail, but IMO, the black full painted roof was 'over the top'!

Jeremy, here is the orange coupe you have been dreaming of!!

Honestly though, if the roof was painted orange as well, and some hyper silver or hyper black wheels were on it, I bet it would look pretty good. Allan, bust out some photoshop for us.

    Ok,
Am I missing something.... Just because it's S54 and 44k he can still get 22.5 for it? Does the "salvage" title not come into play on the price...

No I think the comments on price came before the knowledge of it being a salvage title. Or atleast thats how I took it.

I spoke to the seller as well, seems to have started life "Silver", if anyone gets the vin please post it, cuz I think I remember this car from IAAI a year ago

Was thinking the same thing. In my wayward youth, a popular hot rod color was called "competition orange" and on the right car it looked terrific. Of course, as the saying goes, "that's why god created vanilla, chocolate, and butter crunch."

I know. But the black roof just doesn't have the same feel as on, say, a mid 70s Targa top Porsche.

I just feel like the black roof conceals the real lines of the coupes. Oh well.

Its OK, you don't have to be pretty when you have 700+ whp.
White is Right, Steel Grey is OK, but Estoril is the only color that truly matters.

    I like Coupes.
