I never thought this day would come but up for sale is my 87 E30 trailer. This trailer was hand build by myself and a good friend. The project took months of time, countless hours of work, and plenty of money in materials. Others have built E30 trailers before and after ours but we feel this one is possibly the most heavy duty and functional trailer out there. This trailer has become fairly famous and has even received a couple spots in BMW magazines during its life. Everywhere it goes it gets compliments, whether people be in to cars or not.
As you can see by the build thread linked below, everything has been reinforced. A frame was built in the front opening of the trailer and is tied in to the to the tongue (receiver). The center beam from the receiver is VERY heavy duty and runs all the way back to the OEM subframe and is tied in to that and braced from the frame rails in the rear. I have loaded this trailer with easily 1000lbs with no issue. It's very easy to cut a car in half and say you're going to make a trailer, it's a different story to do it RIGHT. Included with the trailer is a custom build BBQ that slides over the fixed pole in the trailer. The BBQ is designed to swing out for use and in while driving. The pole can also accept an engine crane which is available at Harbor Freight.
All body and paint work was done by us in a friend's driveway. It's not show quality and it does have some imperfections here and there after 5 years of use. I try to keep the trailer covered most of the time when not in use. The inside was originally lined with Herculiner but is now showing its age. This trailer would benefit hugely from a professional Line-X job but it still looks decent as is. The trailer is custom wired to use a 4 prong trailer plug plus external ground. It was done this way to also include the OEM blinkers. Trailer comes with a Euro plate filler and a Euro spec rear bumper.

I'd definitely get this if I had an E30, and for $1000 this is a steal...! IMHO this is worth way more. GLWS.
Thank you! It would still be cool towed behind ANY BMW in my opinion.
That's awesome! GLWS!
