328xi Lights warning with turn & exclamatory symbol

Hi All,

Recently My BMW 328xi dash board is showing some warning with headlights symbol with curvy turn & with exclamation symbol all the place where we see time. searched a lot of web sites & finally came to this forum, which i think will get me some info. Could you please help me with this issue. No Warranty on my CAR, it expired .

Looks like the adaptive headlight warning. This indicates a problem in the adaptive headlight system. You're probably going to need someone to properly diagnose the issue. If it's the SMC (stepper motor control) units, there are two. One mounted to each headlight, underneath. If that is the problem, the bumper has to come off, and the headlights removed to replace one or both. Then they have to be coded/programmed to the vehicle. Could also be the footwell module, which takes place of the lamp control module in an E90. Or maybe in the wiring.
