E39 Ambient Light Retrofit

Description
I have designed a improved version of the DIY e39 Ambient Light Retrofit. I took this idea and changed it up a bit so that it has a cleaner look. I used wide angle LED's. The light is set on each dome light to point at the middle console storage area. The light when finished will only turn on when you turn on the headlights. The light glows from the drivers right leg to the passangers left leg. The glow is not obnoxiously bright, it is just enough to be able to look down and find something. Each kit will come with a female and male prewired plug for easy retrofit. This package will also come with 2 electrical wire taps and 2 male ends to connect into the wire taps. With this pre wired kit all you have to do is get some plyers, tap into the correct wires and you have an ambient light. Each package will also come with 2 replacment bulbs.

Lighting Options-
Regular stock light bulbs- Free (all working when i tested the dome light)
LED upgrade- You can buy Gumby's kit, makes things alot easier.


Dome light Colors Available The dome lights come in 2 different colors so you must let me know what color you need
Dove, blue or black interior - White light
Tan - tan light
Tan with black tape strips (bmw got cheaper and used this to replace the white dome light in later years. The black strips make it blend in better.

This is not the actual brightness of the light in real life. If you take a look at the switch for the heated seats you can get and idea of the brightness..Probably 2/3 or 3/4 of the brightness of the picture

Have you tried this on an E60 yet? I would love to add some additional ambient amber lighting, front and rear. Considering the dome setups with the ambient lighting is roughly the same, could you DIY this for my car? I have a 2010 E60. I'm in NY

The ambient light I add is not additional ... E34s don't have ambient light from factory...
