    M Coupe vs Ferrari

I was grilling on my balcony last evening when I saw/heard this new Ferrari coming down my street. To my luck he parked in front of my neighbors house. I thought this would be a rare opportunity so backed my car out of my garage and parked it in front of the Ferrari to get a good look. Ha, they even copied our wheels!

Me personaly, I'd take the Z3M coupe. It's a lot like nothing else!
Suck, bang, blow - that's what it's all about.

It simply dwarfs our cars. It's massive.

It is a tad too big. Pretty heavy car too, but nothing 650 horses can't drown out I suppose.

Very cool, thanks for posting! I've seen two other photos of a Ferrari FF next to an E36/8, but yours is a different perspective altogether.

Edit: Posted this up on my site today. Thanks again for sharing the photo!

I'll take the coupe, no question. But I find it rather bemusing that Ferrari has to put an oversized logo on theirs, so that the viewer, or maybe the owner, will know it's a "Ferrari"... 'cause it sure doen't look like one. Without such, maybe the viewer might think it was a modified Oldsmobile station wagon???

    Coupes...
You know, its an even bigger styling rip off looking at the side view.
White is Right, Steel Grey is OK, but Estoril is the only color that truly matters.

    I like Coupes.

Nah, just an obese M Coupe with cancer that puts down less power to the rear wheels than Clint.

Wow, the M coupe looks worlds better. That Ferrari will certainly be a forgotten super car in 20 years

Normally I give the benefit of the doubt, and I have been on the FF/MC styling

But between the proportions being almost the same (except the Ferrari's slightly longer front overhang), the wheel style being eerily similar, the vent in the same place in the hood/1/4 panel... even the "hips" of the car, though designed differently - are still imo a borrowed element from the MC.

Before I just said ah yes, a Ferrari and an M coupe... now I cant help but notice the FF really is quite a ripoff.

I really don't see it like that, our cars are based on classic sports car design.
and Ferrari always follow that design principle for all their cars. of course we see some common design languages in both vehicles.
    I wouldn't say FF is a ripoff.

to me, FF resembles 250 GTO alot more than our cars.

    Z3's...
Funny, just noticed that the MC doesn't have the Hofmeister kink while the Ferrari does. It's like the only BMW since the introduction of the Neu-Klass that doesn't have it.

It was pretty subtle on the E36 touring, but yeah, the E36/8 is missing it altogether.

I'm pretty sure if he came up with keys and pinks and said, "straight up trade," I'd have to buy a different hat.
