Another DIY for your e46 AUX input

I know there have been numerous threads on this topic, but I would like to share my method of doing this.

I opted for a cleaner look, even though you can't see it, that's just how I am, knowing it's behind the dash all messy would bother me -- seeing as how I do electrical work for a living.

So - I simply used a common 4P4C telephone wire (26ga.) stripped the ends and soldered them on the stereo connector, heat shrinked the ends and added crimp on female pin connectors on the other ends that go on the back of the Alpine stereo. Nice, clean, simple cable to use and it works perfectly, no noise or humm.

God I love working on German cars with their extremely tight tolerances. Taking apart this dash was a dream. Everything went so smooth.

Thanks for sharing. The OEM kit is like $36, so I went that route for simplicity/lazyness sake.
