1985 TC Baur Convert Top Latch

Looking for the latch that holds the convertible up in the back Both would be nice, they have rusted the ribbets that hold the latch to the top. So... any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    hi docsoc,

have you seen this link? Hopefully you can get a part number.... and hopefully it isn't "NLA".

If you would like I can post something for you in my Baur blog "parts wanted' section---- free, of course. You are not the only guy looking for that kind of part, btw.

Have you tried Walloth and Nesch (Germany) or Maximillian Importing (Maryland)?

Let me know if I can help... and congrats on that Baur!

Got any pics? What is the Baur plate number? Are you registered with the International Baur Registry yet?

    Hi docsoc,

Glad to be of some help.

    1) What is the Baur plate number of your car? It is located inside the driver's door jamb. We are trying to positively identify and locate as many US Baurs as we can.

    2) I will post your need on my blog as soon as I get the chance, hopefully a little later today. I don't know off-hand of anyone with a TC2 parts car, but... you never know!

    3) The International Baur Registry is located in Germany. Is that where you registered it? (I didnt mean your regular car registration in Florida. Not sure I made that clear.)

    4) Got any pics to post? This forum loves pics!

    Congrats again, and welcome!
