So... I am still in the process of mastering my DSLR, I figured the 750iL (Cleo) would make a good study subject so I will be using this thread to post my photoshoot attempts. Please feel free to post your own if you wanna...

Sharp looking e38! Rare to see a front plate delete on a California car.
I really hope you don't change out those amber corners, they look great on dark e38s!

Thanks! And yes on the backdrop, for me it's easier access and closer to home. Photoshoots cost me $2 bucks though...

Thanks! It's a Canon D30 / 300D. Older DSLR, but I figured it would be a nice tool to learn with.

Thanks very much. I agree with you on the aesthetics of the Amber signals, but it won't go with the Rear Clears I intend to get later. I think the Orange Slices will be a nice compromise.

Thanks guys. We actually installed a brand new exhaust hanger and it still droops. We only changed the one with the rubber loop. I will change the metal piece and see if that helps.

nice shots - nice car, too - -and a great location - - Just my 2c - when shooting a car, from the front/corner/angle, always turn the wheel to it's broad side toward the camera - nobody wants to see the tire tread!

Hey Micheal, nice shots. I like the composition and general shooting angles you have chosen. I find that the direct sun glare messes with the camera's white balance and color correction some, so you should try to find angles that avoid it if possible.

Also, if you want to try to have the background a little less washed out on bright days like that, you can shoot in raw mode, and mess with all the white balance/color correction manually. You can get a better dynamic lighting range in the final photo this way. The raw photos also contain a TON more color data to mess with than the jpg does. The trade off, of course, is that its more work.

LTW is shorthand in the e36 world for LTW wheels...the wheels that came on the 1995 M3 Lightweight and available as an option on other M3s
