Mods: Coilovers, 328i brakes, OEM French M3 Alpina Yellow lights, steelies for now 18"s are getting new paint, Freeflow exhaust with only a Rear silencer, Open Air filter, black roof, chip tuned..
Up Comming: Stage 2 Turbokit, LED Rearlights (but oem look), custum leather dashboard with E46 centre console, etc.. etc.. etc..
This is the ultimate goal.

cool car but is it yellow or blue im confused also i hate the tail lights, i like wide wheels but jesus its got truck tires on it and personally the wide body looks like nice bodywork but im my opinion i think the design of just big huge flat flairs sticking out just looks like shit...

An old question, but still - It's a common problem with the E36/46 and a BMW V8. A wet sump would stick out of the hood, in other words - would be too high up. Ofcourse with extreme builds, you could always cut through the firewall and place the engine way back. It is strongly not advised to lower the steering rack or change the kinematics of the suspension. It would ruin the handling.
So, the dry sump would be the best solution with S62/M60/M62.
