I'm keeping the car. Too many lowballers and no serious buyers. I'm happier keeping it, now that I've lowered my insurance premiums.

Seems like a really good deal

Wow. Crazy bargain. Should be an easy sale. GLWS!
Let's try directly posting the photos:
Here are some more photos:
Just so everyone knows- this car has ZERO paint or bodywork.
Clean Carfax.
Some cosmetic issues due to the mileage- road rash on the front end:
You can see it in bright morning sunlight- it exaggerates the effect on a black car.
Also, some minor curbing on the wheels:
This one might be more bead sealer than anything else- it's not scraped or scuffed like it looks:
Little bit of curbage on the front passenger side:

I am interested in this car but can't pm yet email me at LelandSBisbeeATyahoo
Raise the price to $20k, $17k is just too cheap.
Yep, would have sold for over $20k...easy. The seller had people offering much more than I paid, several of which are members on this forum. Lucky for me, he was an honest guy and stuck to the agreement we made when I made a deposit. I could have flipped it for a fast $5k profit, and more if I wanted to wait. Getting a deal like I did is once in a lifetime, especially for a rare color like LSB. I plan to own it until I die. So to me, it's priceless now.
I cant PM you so please email me. infanterene@yahoo.com.
Damn, I should buy this one.
What kind of delivery options do we have?
Can someone drive it to Florida for spring break?
Interested, can't PM yet, could you email youvehadyoursix@hotmail.com
I'm also interested but can't PM. 08bmwM3@gmail.com
A couple things to add, since a lot of people have asked.
I do not have maintenance records for the car- the BMW dealership I bought it from is not allowed by law to give me paperwork that has the previous owner's information on it- due to privacy laws.
I had the car thoroughly inspected by my mechanic when I bought the car- he is a Bosch certified German specialist mechanic, been doing this since the early '80s. He pronounced the car with a clean bill of health- I asked all of the questions that everyone else has asked me- inspect the subframe (no issues), valve adjustment (no issues, fine for now), shocks (fine).
The car is currently not street legal because it's de-registered for winter storage- we have seasonal registration in PA which allows me to do this. If you're a serious buyer, make an appointment and I can have my wholesaler friend go with you on his dealer tag and you can drive the car.
There is a lien on the car so you cannot just pay me cash and drive off with the title and ship it outside the US.
If you don't like the price, MAKE ME AN OFFER.
Anybody who thinks the price is too high is insane. $17k is a bargain.
Trade for a 99 S52 Coupe? haha
More photos in my Picasa album posted.
Someone asked for photos of the trunk floor- I don't know if you've ever done that, but there is a ton of stuff to remove- the floor that you would want to see is in front of the battery- there is a thick, rubbery insulation pad that is stuck on there and in order to remove it cleanly, I'd have to remove the battery, the tool trays and probably some of the side panels. That's not going to happen- I got as far as the tool trays and the floor panels and found that insulation.
Please remember that this is a 10 yr. old car with 95k miles. You're not going to find a car with that kind of mileage that is perfect, cosmetically. This one is pretty darn good, considering it has stone chipping on the front end and that's about it. It's not a show car.
The car has a lien on it and it will take approx. 2 weeks to process the payoff once they receive payment via certified bank check. I will only accept payment via certified check sent to BMW Financial directly- your "cash" deal is not going to make it any cheaper.
Someone needs to buy this before I do and end up getting divorced as a result. That would make this the most expensive Coupe ever, cartel pricing or no.
