    help s52 exhaust cam scrap ??????

    to make a long story short, I buy a bmw m3 3.2l 1999 (s52) surpercharge, I sold the kit S / C and install my turbo kit, I change the rod bearing, main bearing, piston ring and when I came to install my arp head stud I dislocate my cam and I saw the porting 6.5.4 of exhaust cam completely

    The camshaft bearing journals are scored/scratched up from oil starvation or debris in the oil from a previous, messy repair.

    The cam housing is replaceable, and I would do just that, replace it. The camshaft journals themselves can be polished & measured to see if they are still within outside diameter tolerance.

    With the amount of effort you've put into preparing your engine already, it would be terrible to jeopardize it on two components that are available good used. If were mine, I'd replace both.

    just found a cam kit for $ 200 with trays
    I cross I will not take any chances

    how can I do to see if its really m3 cam??
    cam on my old m3 is registered (891) while the cam 3.2l m3 s52 are the 891??
