You might as well include your terms. Deposit, etc.? How does it work? Do tell.

Although, I'm not in need at this point... others likely may be.

Strange. I PM'd myself fine but I can not PM you. What's the big deal posting the terms here?

New members don't have the PM function until x-number of days/posts.

Does seem odd that you are not upfront about the fee and procedure to rent your kit/tools.

It's because of an issue on another site that I'm a member of. They do not allow loaning tools for ANY type of profit. However, everyone who loans out tools charge a small service fee for the trouble that the renter goes through to helping the rentee. It's only fair but they frown upon it and ban members for it. So everyone sort of does it by PM so I'm trying to stick to that method.

Nothing hidden or suspicious going on here.

Basically, if you're not being competitive with our Supporting Vendors, it is acceptable to do what you are doing. Working it via PM doesn't make it more OK or not.

But if you want to follow the rules of another forum while in Bimmerforums.... be my guest.

I'm just trying to help out other members who might not want to shell out more than $450 for tools to do a job that is only required every 30k miles.

If you have a problem, as a moderator, with what I'm doing, then please let me know and I'll gladly pull this service from here.

    Otherwise, please don't be all

That thread was made in 2009. Those prices do not apply anymore.

    See sig
When I rent mine out, I take a $400 deposit and pay to ship it out. When it comes back (renter pays retuen shipping), the renter gets $350 back, minus any damage / missing shims. It has worked out well, so far.
