OK, let the fun begin!! My kids already named the car, of course my guideline for naming was to keep within Hagar The Horrible's family, so they called it Kvack, Hagar's Viking Duck...
So now that we have a proper baptism, here are the specs and pics:
2002 325i Sedan
Titanium Silver on Black
HK Audio
5 speed manual(heeeeeeeeeel yeah!!!)
Sport Package
Sunroof
17" wheels Styling 96
104K, rock solid.
The car still have to pass my mechanic's inspection Tuesday, but because the car was so inexpensive($6K), left me with $2K for whatever need to be done.
During my own inspection, this is what I found it needs:
- Windshield, there is a 6" crack, I don't believe it can be "repaired", has to be replaced.
- Curb rot on pretty much all the wheels
- (Needs tires) DONE
- (Needs alignment) DONE
- (Possibly needs lower control arm bushings, but I was planning a suspension kit anyway, this IS a manual bundle of joy and it deserve to be driven accordingly ) NOT NEEDED
- Small penny size dent on front left panel.
I found no leaks or oil marks, no coolant tracks, no weird noises, no slippage on the clutch.
The car push like a freight train, a lot of power, and shifts smoothly and fast, just like my e36 used to..
Now for the fun part: MODS!!!!
Wish-list:
- fix all the stuff listed above - DONE, except the windshield and wheel repair
- cooling system upgrade
- (steering wheel hoses upgrade(if/when needed)) NOT NEEDED
- good suspension kit(accepting suggestions)
- front/rear bumper(accepting suggestions)
- Dynavin: Link
- CF wrap trim
- M Steering Wheel - DONE
- AE - DONE
- (Flip Flop Car Freshener Delete ) DONE
- TMS rear corners Red/White Link
- Dyno tuning. Looking for a descent place in Houston.
Stuff done outside the list so far:
- Detailing + leather conditioning, almost done! (phase II of detailing will be done after windshield and ///M Steering wheel and (probably) CF interior trim)
- 30% Window tint all around,
- BMW Original rubber floor mats,
- Expansion tank cap(original had cracked plastic and dry rubber),
- BMW rubber cargo tray,
- Cabin air filter (Bosch w/ charcoal)
- License plate frames - black plastic to match car details
- De-badget (she's got a clean looking a$$ and no ///M knockoff dealer logo...)
- Steering Wheel M Style from a 530 w/Sport Package (Is it proper to call it an M5 wheel?)
- ZHP "short" shift Knob
- CF trunk lip
- K&N Drop-in air filter (replaced by the BMW Performance Intake)
- Magnaflow 12198
- 2010 DME update
- BMW Performance Air Intake
- Red Sharpie Mod
- Predator Orion V2 AE
- (GSSTWIFI) Kiwi Wifi OBDII
- VMR710 Staggered, 18x8.5/18.9.5
- Stealth Black Grill
For now that's what comes to mind...

If you get a new windshield, tell them to install one with the rain sensor; it doesn't cost that much more, and it could be a good excuse to retrofit it. Wiring isn't that difficult either.
Nice ride, Congrats.
Congrats! I'll probably see you around town.
Welcome in! Looks like you got yourself a good looking car! Interior looks clean. And you've already got a very good (and correctly ordered) todo list.
Just gotta remove that chrome M badge (vomit). The curb didn't rash that driver's side rear wheel, it tried to eat it!

Very Nice, Im kinda jealous of the interior color scheme. I have a Black 323i Manual with Tan interior, that black looks really clean!
I see some people from houston. How many bmw/foreign repair shops are down there? Was thinking of packing up shop and moving there.
There are a few good guys, and a LOT of dishonest posers, really good ones that you can actually count on, I know only two. They charge about 80/hr and use only BMW parts or quality licensed stuff, if you show up in there complaining about a problem you don't have, they will both tell you to get a Corolla or something..
I was never charged extra or had any work done that was not necessary, sometimes they'll tell me that I can wait another year, few thousand miles, etc.. before something HAS to be done..

Congrats on the new ride! Can't wait to see all the fixes and mods your about to throw on there. Keep us updated with your projects.
Congrats on the purchase! Hope it treats you well. As for the windshield, go with OEM. Mine was replaced before I bought it and it's an el cheapo universal with crap fitting trim and the glass doesn't quite follow the contour of the dash. No good.
Very nice, congratulations!
Congrats buddy! Welcome back! this is an amazing recovery from the crash, I love it pal!
