my engine M50NV stroked to 2.8, im using sc14 "Toyota supercharger" 7 psi boost
the gearbox using now getrag from m50b20 "i dont now model number" and the diff 3.64 ratio, i need to run longer final drive ratio,
can i use my old gearbox "Getrag 260" and get longer final drive ratio than m50b20 gearbox?
which gear box can give me longer final drive ratio with 3.64 diff
ZF 310 / 320 ?
Getrag 260?
sorry of my English.
why spend all that money on swapping out your trans.. 400-700$ when you can go pull a diff from a junkyard or buy one for like $150?
shouldnt your question be, what diff should i run with my getrag 260 to get a longer final drive.. not vise versa..
good lucck

The Gatreg260 will cost me about 100$, and the ZF310/320 about 140$, and the LSD DIFF 3.15 OR 3.25 OR 2.93 Cost about 300 - 350$
i live in middle east and the price different than USA
i need help now to know the ratio of
Getrag 260
ZF 310 / 320
and what of them i chose, to final long drive?
Ah, makes sense. I cant help you there, but I am sure if you check out wikipedia you should be able to find some relatively accurate info

The GR260 would be better with your current diff. But you also might need a different drive shaft and you will need a custom transmission cross brace. It's probably cheaper in the long run to get a taller diff gear ratio.

What kind of HP can the g260 sustain?
I'm prepping to build a 2.8 m50 e30 turbo, and just wondering if I should spend the extra money on the zf box or wait till later..
I put down 380whp and about the same wtq and I just swapped my ZF for the 260. It should hold

The thing I do love about the ZF is how you can down shift no matter the rpm!!!
Good to hear! Thanks for the input, saves me some coin for this initial build, I'll upgrade it later on down the road or if I have a problem.
Either of you ever built your own trans bracket over purchasing a new one?
Also, it uses the same shift carrier and selector rod as the zf if I recall, yes?
