My ongoing E39 540 project #20 BBS LM Refurb

This summer i bought myself an E39 and desided to go all the way with it

These are the mods so far
    OEM Full ///M kit
OEM Facelift lights with Ebay white angeleys bulbs
    17" BBS Style 5 RC090 wheels
19" BBS LM 10,5 at the back and 9" at the front ( I think )
    Coilovers on the way
Total respray = "cocain white" with a black top
    A glass sunroof
    Black headliner
    Black carpet

    Well here's my ride
    540 1997 model

Will post more when the coilovers are landed, the windows retinted and the LM's under the car

VERY nice, I especially love the interior work, but it all looks great!

This beats my wallet you may say.. It took me a lot of work tracking down the only 19" BBS LM's in Iceland, only this set and one 17" exist on Iceland
I'm only 22 years old, but I have a lot of great friends that have helped me with this and I am very grateful for that

Good work. Looks good. One wonders why you didn't just buy a White e39.. Although I get it, at the same time its a lot of work, especially painting the engine bay.

Looks awesome man! Could you provide some more detail on the sanding you did on the car? I don't know much about paint prep, and am curious why the doors look like they were sanded more than for instance the left quarter panel.

    Keep us updated!

Very nice! I love the LM's can't wait to see them on your car.

A lot of $$ on that car... How come you did not sell it and get an M5?

I always wanted a white M-Tech E39 and so I just did that
There are about 4 white E39 cars in Iceland and none of them are 540 or M5 so I decided to do this. And the color is not a BMW white color, its just pure white straight from the shelf.

All the doors had some dents in it and damages so we fixed that and had to put primer on top. That’s why the doors are more or less different.

I bought the car for the 1/5th amount that a good E39 M5 cost in Iceland, and there are just 3 cars here in Iceland I would like to buy. Most of the cars have been mistreated by lets say.. not so smart people that think that burnouts and doing donuts on a M5 doesn't cause damage.

    My BBS LM Refurb

    Old center caps

    The bolts from one wheel

The wheels and the GrandSport Corvette under its cover

    The tools

    It came apart..

    Air valve

The old ones.. Going to replace them

    Front wheel before cleaning it

    Some wheel cleaner

Then I put some WD40 on the nuts and let it stand for 15 minutes or so

    Yeah baby

All the bolts gone and i washed it a bit more..

    Out it went

    Cleaned it some more...

The bolts and nuts marked and put in bags

And this is the final result, there is one wheel being polished so thats why there are just 3 there.

This should be one hell of a summer!

Wow... I am truly impressed. The amount of work put into that car truly paid off.
    Gorgeous!
