    M-Kit '08 550i: Am I missing something on front??

    * * * * SORRY < POSTED IN MAIN FORUM< NOT SUB, PLEASE DELETE THIS THREAD< I POSTED IN CORRECT AREA * * * *

See these pics, I swear there is "tabs" where something should be mounted. I bought this from a used dealer, and they barely knew anything about the car.

However, I am not sure what is missing. I have searched many online images of front of M5 kits and 550i from 08, but cannot seem to determine what exact parts are missing (both on each side).

My guess is some CAI vent or perhaps a redirect to the radiator? The car has DINAN stage 1, so there is already CAI action going on, but it's not part of this lower area.

    Thoughts?

You are missing a piece shaped like the hole with lattice that looks like the middle part. Is it missing on the other side? It is easy to pop in.

Yes both sides are missing. I am trying to find exactly the part number so i can order them. The number is 12, 13,14, and 39... on the line drawing at real oem, but that doesn't give me the official part number.

Sir, your post says that you can't determine what parts are missing (which is the same thing as you don't know what they look like).

    Yes, it does show!

If you check realoem again you would clearly see that below the picture you'd have everything listed with part numbers and prices.

Here is the picture number, part name, part number and price.

If you want the ones shown in this thread
    12; Grid, left 51117897186 $36.13
    13; Grid, right 51117897184 $36.13

Or if you want the ones that has the inlet for ACC and airduct/brake duct

    14; Grid ACC, right 51117897183 $36.13
    39; Grid left 51117897185 $36.13
15; Cover, air duct, brake left 51117060969 $5.42
15; Cover, air duct, brake right 51117060970 $5.42

16; FRONT LEFT BRAKE AIR DUCT 51117896587 $33.90
16; FRONT RIGHT BRAKE AIR DUCT 51117896588 $33.90

And here's a link to it.

Your right I failed to engage my brain to scroll the F down! Lol

Sooooo how do I determine if i have ACC? I rea that it was standard on the 550i but I could be confused.

Haha, i'm glad to be at help man! So that's no problem!

Well, i would say you have ACC if you got a 550i. Do you have night vision on the car too?
Though it doesn't really matter if you do or not as you could retrofit the ducts anyways, which is nicer to have (imho). So if your car doesn't use the air ducts for ACC then simply use them as brake ducts as they are also meant to be used for.

Also check your car so some of the parts aren't already on it, like air ducts?

But i guess you need to order both #15+15 and both #16+16, togheter with #14+#39 (for air ducts) or #12+#13 for the standard ones.

But don't take my word for it a 100%, even though i'm pretty sure. I would advice you to speak to the guys at the counter at your local BMW parts dealer.
