Hi everyone, new e46 owner... debaffle mod?

Hi everyone, just purchased an e46. 2000 328i with 150,000km.

I kinda like to do some DIY mods that arent very technical to do and dont cost much.

I used to have an e36 and I remember there was a debaffle mod. Is there one for the e46?

I have also been reading about the "Golf Tee Mod". Is any instructions on the forum for this?

    Thanks everyone.

    Thanks Wolf for your help.

I just started to read about the sub frame issues.

It seems I am passed the dead line for this being inspected and repaired for free.

    Should I be worried?

I believe that they will still inspect it free, however you will have to pay out of pocket to get it repaired if they find something. I would have it checked out, from looking at the list on E46f of cars that had the issue, most were pre-2002.

Really worried now. I put the deposit on the car. Some what worried about buying the car now lol.

Would the sub frame issue let the car pass safety?

Maybe......you would have to pay for repairs, which can be costly....

My 01 passed... explain to BMW that you just bought the car and if you could sneak in the free inspection and see what that gets you
Now they dropping and yelling, it's a tad too late, Nate K and Rayzah Blade had to regulate.

On a 2000 year model sedan, I'd be a little worried.
The dealership should be able to inspect for free. They just wont repair it for free, now that the deadline has passed.

Just sayin whats been said 5 times in the thread already.

    Obtw...2000....fair chance at sf issues.

You may get insp for free.

You would most likely pay for repairs.

This thread is really rollin now.
