1987 - 1991 M3 (E30) (1987 - 1991) The E30 M3 was developed by BMW M division to be an upgrade from the E30 3 Series. Using a S14 four-cylinder powerplant (upgraded from the M10) the car was known to be quite powerful and nimble for its time.

M3 Police Chase Video! BMW Wins

Badass video, not sure if anyone has seen it before. The TV show lied about who was driving and the fact that they didn't catch him.

lol. That was amazing.
I love how they called him an "inexperienced driver". Avoiding two spike strips.... lol
I love it.

Let's see.
Chase car changes gear several times at the claimed 125.
Multiple sound tracks excluding the "voice over".
The M was probably bone stock as judged by the chase car out accelerating him after the change of direction. This looks all Doctored up to me, but it appears the Camaro was OWNED by a four banger.
Now It follows from this crap that the E30 M3 will be profiled for some months to come, so don't allow yourself to be provoked into dangerous driving.

F-ing awesome, I saw that on tv a while ago and have longed to see it again. Anyone who doubts the performance of these cars needs to watch this. I'm going to watch again, I smile every time.

UBER repost....this thing surfaces every few months.

i love how the kid makes a cop crash and nealry totals two cop cars just by "shoulder faking."

cops, someone should teach em how to drive. that kid gets my props.

So what's the lesson?

"any punk kid in any random E30 M3 can out-drive any random cop in any trim of police higway interceptor"

How do you figure the BMW wins.

It breaks down and he gets caught, that seems like a loss to me.

Now had he never been caught that would be a win.

And if that was his car, its now the states. big loss there.

Not to mention the Butt kicking he got when they pulled him out of the car.

You have to remember when cops give chase they have to think about the others on the road, they have rules, the bad guys don't!

what does WAFD mean? anyway, it doesnt break down, the scene where it supposedly does breakdown is the SAME thing as previously in the video, just zoomed in on the screen, notice how all the readouts on the screen are pushed towards the edge. the video is ages old, and its been pretty clearified that the guy wasnt really cuaght.

Yeah I'm sure he is lurking on this forum somewhere rather than being somebody's b@#ch in prison....not. Nobody gets away from the cops after pulling something like that in a stolen car.

From what I have gathered about this video on other boards......

The car belonged to a bmwcca instructor, it had a 2.5ltr conversion and some suspension mods, but nothing major. The owner's 15yr old son swiped the car and the police were called. The car did not break down, however the 15yr old son later returned home with the car and the police arrested him there.

Ahah, stupid cop "he made a shoulder jerk so i reacted" more like the cop attempted to get close, looked over at the BMW, yelled "give up" started to lose control and over-corrected.
