My E36 M3 Evo, AC Schnitzer spec

Hi guys, new here, i'm from the UK. Just bought myself a BMW M3 Evo convertible that was spec'd up with AC Schnitzer parts when brand new. It has Kevlar wide body, kevlar bumpers, coilover, type II split rims, DTM exhaust, short shiter, pedals and sills.

There isn't alot of information on ACS cars and google searches brought me to this website, seems people know more lots about them on here. I don't and have a few questions. How come the front bumper on my car is different to other wide body cars? My car isn't an official AC Schnitzer car as the log book says it's a M3 Evolution. I didn't think they offered a Convertible wide body as I hadn't seen any on the net but did see one pictured in the official ACS brochure so they must have. What were the convertibles known as, were they given model names like CLS, S3 Sport, etc...

I've just got the car and the photos aren't great, i'm planning on re-furbishing the wheels and doing some general tidying up of the car (remove the indicators and maybe the spoiler)

Thanks for the nice comments. Will take some better photos with the top down when I get a chance. I won't be keeping the wheels black, don't think they suit a blue car, thinking about silver or gunmetal centres with a polished lip.

i think that kit was called a s3 cs (coupe silhouette/cabrio silhouette)

just punch in schnitzer e36 cs cabrio on yahoo and the first link takes you to the acs brochure

the bumper on the brochure looks like the cls bumper, not sure if they had a different one as well?

Nice find. Congrats! I believe Kosta is right...I think the convertibles were called the S3 CS. Definitely don't see too many of the convertibles around. As for the front bumper, that's the standard ACS CS widebody front bumper. The CLS front bumper like the one I have on my car was another option but is NLA from Schnitzer. In fact, they used to carry crash replacement bodyparts for these cars (you had to prove you already had one of the widebody kits), but I recently checked and ACS doesn't have ANY crash replacements left. Anyway, congrats again on the car!

i like the wheels black, maybe with a polished lip they would look better.
the acs cup mirrors would make it look a cls too instead of the sport mirrors.
