Rocknroad custom steering wheel installed (Necessarily pic heavy)

You can see Jeff's excellent DIY of this wheel here.

He did an awesome job with the wheel. Thanks so much for taking the time to document the process, but more so for making one for me! I really like the look and feel of the wheel. It's thicker than stock, but not so much that it's comical. I can't see it being any more ideal of a size. The neoprene gives the wheel a great feel. Hopefully I can keep the leather feeling like new. Thanks again Jeff, you rock!

Looks like the install went smooth. Would like to get your thoughts on how the car drives/feels with this wheel.

Also, I come out of the cave every now and then to look around but pretty much still in the cave

OMG, this is exactly what I wanted. The thicker feel of the wheel will definitely enhance the driving experiences. Awesome job Jeff this is perfect! If you willing to do another one please let me know. Wow, thanks for the pics Z3Couper..the comparison vs stock brings out the prospective. You're so lucky to have one (I'm jealous).

I really like the thickness of the wheel but the diameter of the oem wheel is still too big for me. Nice work as always, RNR!

Man that's thick! Looks like it was stung by a bee and is all swollen.

I'll have to check it out next time I see Eds roadster..

There are only two people who own this particular wheel. Jeremy is one of them, Ed isn't the other.

Yes, when you look at it next to the oem wheel, it looks like the fat cousin sitting next to the hot girl. However, on its own, it looks pretty darn sweet. For people that don't have the side by side comparison, I bet they would think it WAS oem...

I agree, the wheel is one of the only things left on this car I truly still want to change. It's just too tiny compared to the one I loved on the mz4.

    Coupes...
So if Rockinroad isn't going to make any more of these, will he sell a do it yourself kit with the basic stitches done already? I mean, I like the idea, and I don't want to buy another airbag for the wifes car because now that I have the E46 M3 wheel in my coupe, the stock wheel in her car seems horrible! I hate it!
