New OSV unit
The little tabs holding the membrane
Using a small screwdriver tot pop it off on the outside. (DO NOT pry the screwdriver IN the membrane this will damage it)
Work your way around
Then it pops off (spring loaded)
The OSV housing has no moving parts
The membrane
Use a flat head screw driver to break the tabs off the membrane (the old one on the car) and it pops off, catch the spring.
It's off
Clean the housing (use a brush and some solvent)
Pop the new one in (be sure the spring is in the middle of the membrane)
And click it in place.
The OSV problems, suction sounds and white smoke should instantly be over.
