Hi
I have 135i front brake calipers mounted in mine Z3 (on photo with m3 e46 325mm discs, now 330i e46 325mm discs) , and I have question.
Does anybody have an idea what is function of those elements marked on photo ??
They can be unscrewed from calipers :
They look a bit weird.
Can I unmount them ?
Thanks
Regards
Peter

Current guess is that these are to dampen out resonant vibration, though from searching no one seems to have a confirmed answer for the purpose these serve.
Try driving with them off and see if there's any difference in feel?
On a side note, how did you mount the calipers and how's the fitment in relation to the rotors?

Thanks for answer. I think I'll try to unscrew them for try .
I mount them using stock adapter , only it's milled 5mm from height (3mm from adapter and 2mm from calipers in fact). Rest is not modified. Knuckles stock from E36, bit longer brake hoses- teflon with stainless mesh.
Size 325mm is still good for those calipers They can be fit to M3 E36, Z3, Z3M, E36, E46 , Z4 together with M3 CSL 345mm discs.

How about wheels? 17'' is possble?
Yes, I run/ran them with 17in E34 M throwing stars.
These calipers come with 338x26. 325x28 are 2 mm thicker. Isn't this a problem?
No. RB makes 2 piece rotors that are 338x28.
