It is now time to start my swap. I bought my car in January 09 with plans to put in a ls1 into it. At the time I was not able to buy a kit, no one had one in stock, so I sent my car to Samberg to have the kit made. My car spent alot of time at Samberg getting the kit made, but it was worth the wait. Everything turned out better than I could have hoped for. After I got it out I sent the car to the body shop for a complete strip color change paint job.

Picked up the car
I did not like green so I had the car painted.
Evo seats
Best way to put in a motor. It was very easy to put in the motor from under the car.
Clutch line. Plugs right into stock t56 and BMW line.

Looking good Mike. How long before it's on the road?
Got my P/S banjo adapters in, just need to make the lines now.
Bolted my BMW AC pump on the the ls1 bracket.
I am happy for you...but I am sad for me. I wish there was a kit for the E34. Good thread.
Good times, lets see how you work on the A/C!
Not alot of time spent on the car. I did get the ABS done.

Any links to buy the kit? I can't find a webpage For samberg. Looking very good.
Call Justin @ 1-925-212-5542 For the Samberg mounting kits.
Have you tried closing the hood with Fast intake and throttle body? Any clearance issues?

I got my car back from Samberg today. He built the exhaust system for me, looks good. I used a large Magnaflow muffler with two 2.5" inlets and one 3.5" outlet. Justin made a nice flange flange for the exhaust, I was going to use two v-band clamps but went this route to gain ground clearance.
I have not worked on the car for a month now, been very busy with the RX7 at the Mojave Mile. Went 207MPH with 4 PSI
Plan to start on the GTO wiring harness tomorrow.
Got my new DSS drive shaft.

One of the few LSx swaps I like.
Nice work and nice parts.
Nice looking swap! That exhaust is a work of art as is the subframe!

I got the cooling system done today. I had to move the radiator outlet to make room for the intake. I still need to finish the fuel system and wiring.
Ls7 MAF mounting bracket welded into the intake pipe.

Looking good Mike.
How far did you/Justin move the booster?
Solid Guibo?

Thanks,
Brake booster is in the stock location. I plan to use JTR's brake booster relocation kit once it is completed. Right now my booster fits but I would like more room.
I have a 4 bolt diff, I am using a complete DSS driveshaft kit. It comes with the proper adapter for 4 or 6 bolt diff. I am not using JTR's flange. I used a chrome molly driveshafts for extra strength vs aluminum. I plan to run the Texas/ Mojave Mile with the car and the chrome molly driveshafts have a higher rpm (MPH) rating.
