1995 BMW M3 - Cosmos on Blk Vaders - 5spd Manual - 175k Miles
Asking $5,500 negotiable.
SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD
I wish I could keep the car but I have come to the sad conclusion I need to sell it as my funds are hurting. The car starts, runs, and drives great. Everything is listed to my absolute best knowledge below, I am looking for a quick sale and I am trying to be outright now as to not waste my time or anyone elses. This is my FOURTH E36 M3 and my SIXTH BMW, I am an avid enthusiast but have just lurked the forums in the past and never joined. I was in SCCA and BMW CCA. I went to automotive mechanics school and am currently a mechanic.
The car is located in Danbury, CT.
THE GOOD:
04/95 M3
175,xxx miles
Cosmos Black on Blk Leather Vaders
Parts new in the last 20,000 miles or less
Cooling System:
- Radiator
- Thermostat
- Upper and Lower Hoses
- SPAL 16" Electric Fan (Wiring is rough looking but works perfectly, needs to be tucked and wrapped in my opinion just so it looks better.)
A/C system:
- New A/C Condenser
- New Receiver and Dryer
Lighting:
- Depo Projector Headlamps with Angel Eyes
- OE Amber Front Signals, Clear Side Markers, OE Amber Rear
- ZKW Fogs (New but not wired in.)

- 235s All Around
- New Yokohama s.drive tires in the Rear (500 miles on them)
- Yokohama AVS ES 100 tires in the Front (Need Replacing, Worn due to camber, still hold air and driveable though.)
Interior:
- Black Vader Interior, Drivers seat has 3-4 inch rip on upper left seem. others are in good condition
- 18 button OBC that works great
- leather steering wheel wrap sewn by previous owner (looks and feels good, not great)
Audio:
- Alpine head unit (fair condition, not the best, not the worst)
- MB Quartz tweeters in the doors
- New Infinity 5.5's in the front
- MB Quartz Crossover setup in the trunk under the carpet
(Wired for an amp in the trunk for the interior speakers but there is currently no amp in the car, add an amp and you'll have a stereo in 10 minutes.)
Drivetrain:
- Very Well running S50 motor. Synthtic Oil w. OEM Mahle Filters.
- 5 speed ZF Tranny (Solid, shifts a bit hard but i believe its because the clutch slave needs to be bled.)

- New Bosch OE Copper Spark Plugs
Body:
- New front bumper and paint (PO hit a cat and had the bumper replaced I was told.)
- OE spoiler with 3rd Brake Light
- Instead of "M3" side markers, it has the white "International" badge from the LTW model
-Stainless Steel Exhaust w DTM Tips
PO replaced ALL hangers and hardware at the time of the install (within the past year; no rust; great condition, I think its an ebay exhaust not sure though, full catback and fitment is excellent.
Replaced in Last 25,000 miles:
- gas tank
- fuel pump
- fuel rail
- injectors
Misc
- FDM from understeer.com
- Z reinforcement plates on the front struts and rear shock mounts
- Pre-wired for a sub in the trunk
- Also New BMW emblems front and back
- Tinted windows 25% on rear windows (fading a tiny bit)
- New Windshield
- Just passed NYS inspection August without a hitch. I have the receipt for this and the sticker is in the window.
- I have a bunch of papers on the car, some receipts, original manual, and even ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER!
- Clean Title w/ no Current Liens on it.
THE BAD:
- Driver's side key cylinder lock is either frozen or does not work with either key that I have. The lock itself (when pushed from the inside or unlocked from the inside) works perfectly. When Unlocked the drivers door handles work fine.
- Theres a slight vibration when you let off and are in deceleration at certain RPMs while in gear, I believe its the center driveshaft bearing or a u joint, not too noticeable.
- Needs an AC compressor (No A/C Blows Hot)
- ABS light is on. I was told it's just a sensor. Brakes work fine, but ABS is disabled.
- Clutch pedal needs new bushings and the clutch slave needs to be bled. (The clutch grabs directly off the floor which makes it difficult to shift if you have never had this condition in an M before, it happened to one of my past ones and new bushings and 20min of bleeding the clutch solved it.)
- Needs new front tires badly, the were previously in the rear and the camber killed them, they are heavily worn on the inner edges and are getting sketchy, they hold air and are able to be driven on though. They wore a bit funny and they are super noisy, new tires would make a world of difference up front.

did the valve tick and lifter noise go away since NY?
Down to:89 aw2 332i/4/5 , 97 m3/4/A
it was lifter noise and it was just from using mobil one, he used castrol and it went away, and i recently used motul and i have never heard it once since i have owned it, i am using the oem weight also and i didnt go thicker to try to 'band aid' any problems, i truely think it was just from using mobil 1.
i dont get PMs yet i don't think, my email is at the top of the first post though!
