    e34 Alpina wheels on e28?

Hey, would the E34 Alpina staggered wheels fit on an e28? Fronts are 17 x 8 inch and the rears are 17 x 9.5 inch?

    cheers guys!

Depending on the offset and tire size. Most likely you will need to trim rear fender lips especially driver's side.

I was told that my 17X9 with an offset of 20 wouldn't fit. Style 32's in 17X9 with an offset of 26 fit with fender trimming/rolling. Yours are even wider (9.5) and a smaller offset of 24 so I don't think they will fit.

What size tyres are you running on the rear? I am also thinking of fitting the 17/8.5 17/9.5 combo but don't want to go out and buy tyres only to find out they will rub the wheel arch. Am thinking 255/40/17s rears should fit OK.

    Thanks in advance... sterb

    I would suggest 245/40s
If your car is lowered, the 255s will rub even with the fenders trimmed/rolled.

pics of alpina rims on E28 or it didn't happen.

fwiw, i have 255 40 r17 in the rear on the E60 rims. i have 100% no clue what the offset on the rims are though (yeah i know this doesn't really help), all i know is they fit without any spacers, and i had to barely roll my rear fenderwell because the inner lip was barely rubbing. after a couple passes with a baseball bat it doesn't rub at all anymore and has 1/2" of clearence now. even at full compression of the suspension.

Your E60 wheels (Style 138) are offset ET20 and are ONLY 7.5" wide, and you still had to roll fenders to fit those 255s. The OP's are 9.5" wide at the rear.
If you have no clue about the topic, or your own wheels for that matter, why post your 2 cents?

Here you go 235/40/17 on the front and 255/40/17 on the rear. Rear wheel did rub but got the arch rolled.

Thread bump. Real nice indeed. Anyone know what year the Alpina wheel of that style stopped exposing the lug nuts? It was late 80's wasn't it? I saw the earlier model Alpina (with exposed lug nuts) on an E24 and they looked good.
E34 Mods: OEM Coin Holder / Cup-Holder / Rubber Mats / Seat Covers / Warning Triangle / Sachs-Boge 750il bushings / Windscreen reflective sunshade / OEM Euro-spec Hella lamps to be installed soon.

Looking for OEM 15 or 16" basketweaves & cassette holder.

The closed lug wheel was introduced in '88. I'm putting the staggered 16" version on my car this weekend. I'm trading my e39 Styl.5s for them. I like them both, but I just want something different.
