    The rack is really what pushed it over the edge... it shows the car is actually used for things other than canyon carving or driving to work. It shows "use"
    Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by hundreds of engineers that get paid thousands of dollars for something you bought at Pep Boys because your buddy who doesn't have a job told you it was 'better'?!?

    Whoa! Thanks guys! I just got back from a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail and saw this thread in my subscriptions and have no idea where it came from? Was there a daily driver poll somewhere that I missed? Regardless, thanks for all the comments! This car definitely gets its use and holds up to anything I throw at it! I just drove 7 miles on a "4X4 only" road to get to the trail head at Bird's Spring Pass just outside of Lake Isabella. I'll try and get some more shots of the car hard at work, haha.

    My e46 just hit the 300 000km (187 500 miles) mark cos I used it for business purposes and did a lot of long distance driving. The high mileage is starting to show. Replaced my power steering pump last week and I think my shocks need a service/replacement again . Using it daily may have to come to an end
