Random question why do you all chose .120 MLS instead of a .140 MLS??

We liked the comp ratio of the .120 vs the .140thou ( albient, its a small difference ) Also the car will go on road race tracks, has Wilwood FOR calipers, AST 4300 suspension, etc-

Theres some obvious reasons. The car is running E85 so you can take advantage of running a higher compresion ratio safely. More power per psi. Better driveabillity and power out of boost. Better spool and responce down low. Thoes are a few...

Thanks Geno for posting my junk up.

I am building something for DEs that will be fast and reliable... I am hoping lower boost for longevity of the engine... I hope I am taking the needed precautions...

75d Tstat - Stewart WP- E85 burns cooler some- Spal pusher - PWR Rad. - Euro oil filter housing with the euro oil cooler w -10lines from VAC--- Wrapped down pipe and running the Turbonetics bigger turbo blanket-- VIS GTR hood hoping to move under hood temps as low as possible.

Fuel System is all new from the Walbro 255 in the tank, brazed on -6 fittings to Teflon -6 lines- Bosch 044 inline pump also fitted to the -6, Custom made fuel rail with radius elbows into the rail- FPR is an Aeromotive with electric fuel pressure gauge unit from Auto Meter.

Most of the drivetrain came from my last track rat so the parts list is long from the Massive Race BBK, AKG SSK... I actual moved the Bias valve to the trans tunnel behind the seats... always wanted it inside the car for changing...

The engine is a long and funny story how it came back to me but I'll keep it short--- basically approx. 10k on the rebuild from new rings, bearings, valve job, new lifters, etc... like listed above we went with the .120 MLS and the 2000 ARPs. I removed the shricks and sold them and went back to the stock cams... I went with a new clutch kit, I forgot which one(info at office)

The standalone is from ABL- DTA S100, running the E85 through brand new 96# injectors, boost will be controlled via the DTA and Haltech solenoid... I also picked up a AIM dash using the CAn +/- from the DTA for all the needed information... basically set all the parameters and if anything falls out of line the alarm goes of on the dash and will display the issue.... I really simplfied this but you get the point...

I or Geno will keep everyone posted once I get it tuned... Thinking 400rwhp for the lower boost setting... 10-12psi for the lower boost and another map for high boost 18-20psi...

The thick (.120") HG isn't solving anything here because the factory static compression ratio isn't enough to prevent running the engine at MBT with E85 in this case (e.g. 20psi with GT35R).

Maxing out 1000cc injectors with E85 would come around 750whp. That's a little out of a GT35R's realistic power range. Either of these things is mostly academic, as the series Walbro 255 + Bosch 044 will reach its limit well before then. I suggest setting the base FP to 3 bar, and monitoring FP while tuning, especially if power climbs >550whp.
