Anyone has experienced with these ?
We just had a company starting this in Lebanon, and at the moment we have the Beirut Motor Show and they had on display a 350Z with the following :
All wings and doors covered in carbon effect sheets.
Bonnet, roof and rear deck covered in matt black sheets.
The car looked terrific.
Not only these colours, they do any colour you want, which means basically you can change the colour of the whole car or any panel and reverse the process anytime..
I am sure this is a USA thing, but anyone on the forum used it ?
if yes, any drawbacks ?
They can also do the interior..carbon dash,etc....

Do you mean vinyl? That has been around for a while and it a pretty good option depending on what you are trying to achieve.

That's exactly it................I wonder why no more people use this...it can save on a paint job[ sometimes] and you can basically customise the car to your taste...

They did a article on this in one of the BMW magazines that I picked up...I was amazed when I saw you could get flat black
Watch the movie taxi! In that movie the hot chicks turn there bmw from red to blue in like a couple min. Its bad ass!
Running on all 8 cylinders once again!
I've never heard of this. Is it permanent? Does it wear a long time?
A full wrap actually runs about 3k but it protects your paint and gives you the option of changing the color of your car while allowing you to reverse it if you grow tired of it.
Edit for RI:
Not permanet and it has a life of 5-10 years depending on what type you buy. It's used by a lot of Ferrari and Lambo owners that track their cars yet want to maintain the integrity of their paint

It's vinyl wrap and I was wondering why it is not used more widely..
Can do crazy things to a car...and it's reversible...
As said, it lasts around 5 years depending on where you live..
They have even carbon silver look................
