New project - redoing the 328Ti

    Wuddup guys,

I have a car show coming up so i figure i re-do the awhole car again.

    1. Re-paint the whole car the same color. I know the paint job looks "ok" already but if some of you read my last project i painted my car in a home garage with a garage door open. But this time I have a paint booth so the quailty and look of the car should be better.

    2. I order some new rims last week and should be in soon. I got some 18's deep dish stragger. Going with 8.5 in the front with 225/40/18 tires. 9.5 in the rears with 255/35/18.

    3. I've decided to go with a painted black roof!

    4. M3 mirrors on order

The plan is to finish by mid May.

    Before

    After
    coming soon.........

    Day 1

    Day 2
Not much done today. Just sanded down the hood and roof. Cut one of the rear fender. That was a pain in the butt but it be worth it in the end. Just have to get a roller and flare the fenders out. Took my spoiler off and I think i will mold the wing onto my car.

    Day 3
Didn't do anything but i received some goodies.

    Interested in the new wheels.

I loved everything about the old look except the boser. Boser hoods are just a very big no go on E36s.

Your car would look so much better without that boser.

Nah, I think i will go with the regular silver with polish lip. I chicken out on the black center with color match lip.

    Day 4

Sanded down the whole car. Still have some body work to do. Today i work focus more on flaring the fenders out.

Before flaring out the fenders more. These were rolled before.

    The after pic...

Same with the other side. Picture of how i flare them out. I know i could do it a different way but this way was easier for me.

After i rolled/flare my fender i will add panel bond to seal that gap up and to keep it from rusting.

    Bondo!!

That's it. I will sand the bondo down next time and do more body work to it.
