Hmmm.....
Well it's pretty obvious what these are so I'll spill some beans.
EAC has partnered with a suspension company to have some E39 coilovers built. These are not home grown or home engineered units. They are 100% fully engineered by a company that has been making coil overs for years. A few months back I was having a conversation with them and expressing my frustration at the lack of decently priced options for E39 coilovers. He stated, "Why don't we just make you some?". I responded, "You can do that?!?". He went on to state that they could make anything suspension related except for sway bars. They do not have an engineering team for sway bars and didn't really want to get into that business. He also went on to name some of the other companies that they make pieces for. In order to make this happen, thought, I would have to purchase a minimum set quantity. And so, the idea was born....
The EAC coilovers are independently height and travel adjustable. There is an adjustment spanner at the bottom mount that allows height changes without changing pre-load or travel. There is also the normal adjustment at the base of the spring that affects height, travel, and pre-load.
The coilovers are dampening adjustable. There are 18 adjustment clicks and it affects both rebound and compression together. They are NOT independently adjustable.
Optional camber plates are available. I will look into the possibility of getting the camber plates separately for those who already have suspension modifications.
Pricing will be released soon. Until I get my final invoice for the first bulk order I do not want to post something that we can't live up to. The last thing I want to do is upset someone.
These initial pics were taken by the manufacturer and sent to me as a teaser. I will have this set in my hands on Monday. Other plans are preventing me from installing them any earlier than next weekend. If all works well I'll be posting initial thoughts at the end of next week.

in to be the guinea pig.
You'll have to stop up and see them when I install them.
Well I hope I can get some love.
Me too.
I hope you'll consider the price sweet as well.
Cool
I hope they are. You don't need them though. Not unless you buy another E39.

Ok well you know how to reach me. If I would have had a firmer date on these getting in I would have waited maybe, but then again I prolly would have blown the money on something else by now.
I am confident that EAC Tuning won't put these out on the market unless they're 100% good to go, unlike....... erm, uh.......... nevermind.
This is the first thing we have put our name on, there is a reason for that.
Silver, black and blue. The first thing I said when I saw a pic was "beautiful." I had offered some ideas for colors and finishes a while ago and was quite pleased at the pics. I remember mentioning the good stuff like anodized and powder coated but I am not positive yet on all the specs- you guys know about as much as I do at this point.
I will be glad to test a set on my I6 e39 given the chance though, I will say that!
If I get the blue anodized finish, I would just sit my E39 on jackstands on the street all the time without wheels just so I can show them off to friends and neighbors.
