Well the LSX has finally been thrown in the E39

    UPDATED PICS DOWN BELOW

Here is a small teaser pic of whats to come. So much engine bay room its rediculous. I will have motor mount kits available within the next 2-3 weeks so if anyone is interested please PM me. The first phase of kits will come with motor and trans mounts as well as a bracket that makes the shifter perfectly centered in the console. This kit is designed for backyard mechanics. Parts will all be powdercoated and ready to slap in with your existing mounts. Down the line there will be a custom header available as well in the $12-1500 range. Please PM me with any and all questions and I will update this thread as progress happens.

    Thanks

The motor pictured is a 5.3 aluminum block with 243 heads. Oil pan used in the build is off of a New GTO (modified).

You will need a modified driveshaft and of course a motor and trans. The exhaust is setup for factory manifolds but you will have to get the rest of the piping made and bent of course. This isnt a E36 5.0 motor swap cheap but its definately gonna be worth it.

What about the electronics, isn't that the most difficult part?

Electronics will be a bitch but we have a few idea's on how to make it happen and with a head bmw mechanic and an electrical genius we will figure out the CAN System.

why are you covering the trans mount and engine mounts? i thought the purpose of build like this is to share and show off what you come up with? anyway, plenty of room in there

Im going to be manufacturing and selling a complete kit to swap an LSX into an e39 and don't want someone to rip off my mounts when I have spent countless hours pioneering a swap on this car.

Will your mounts be compatible with the 528i subframe?
