FS: NY - 1986 e30 325e BLK Plastic Bumper Ready and upgrades $2000-Negotiable

This sucks, but I have to sell my car due to a change of plan.
Prce is negotiable...Offer me a reasonable
price. See 4th post for rear plastic bumper and apron already modified to install.

Price at $2000

I bought this car back in November. Below are some pictures of when I first got it and how it looks like.

Pics of the front (thats bird poop on the hood with snow, sorry about that. Too cold outside to wash the car at the moment):

Pictures of the Trunk Area (that stain has been there since I first got it):

Interior shots (sorry for dirty carpet):

New painted flat black IS Lip:

Here is the rot hole where the passenger jacking point is (I know, its pretty big):

Rot hole passenger side quarter panel:

I am trying to be honest with all the defects and upgrades on the car so that I won't be wasting anybody's time. If you want more pictures of a certain part or location, please let me know.

Before Pictures (See 4th Post for "After" Pictures)

Here is a list of upgrades since I got the car (included is a description of why I changed the part):

1)New windshield mouldings (black rubber): The car came originally with the rusted looking chrome mouldings (really ugly).

2)New Bilstein Shocks with Eibach Springs (Less then 1000 miles): When I first drove the car, I noticed that the shocks were going out soon. Also, PO gave me brand new eibach springs. The ride is pretty stiff. The car dropped by about 1 inch.

3)Used chrome passenger roof moulding: As you can see from the first pictures on top, when I got the car, the passenger side roof moulding was missing.

4)Used almost crack free dash (just has one little 2 cm in length crack on the
tray area): Original dash had craters all over the place.

5)Used front kidney grill painted flat black (installed): Original kidney had a crack on the grill.

6)Used Tool kit screw trunk: Original was missing. The tool kit was being held onto the trunk buy a hanger wire.

7)Used Euroweaves with New 195/55 Yokohama Tires (Euroweaves from bataangpinoy (Thanks) - Tires have less than 700 miles)
***Running 8mm spacers in the front and 15mm spacers in the rear. Due to the front spacers, there is some vibration at around 65 MPH.

8)New Behr Radiator (installed: Thanks to Guten - Less than 500 miles): I drove my car to home depot (which is like a 6 minute drive). Everything looked perfectly fine. When I came out of Home Depot, I noticed antifreeze all over the floor. I opened the hood and noticed that the fan made a slice on one of the radiator hoses. The fan ended up breaking a propeller and the radiator plastic ended up cracking. Car now drives great without any heating problems (stays before the center mark).

9)New Clutch Kit (Installed: Thanks to Guten - Less than 500 miles): Noticed that the clutch was going out soon and I needed a new one ASAP. Purchased one from ebay (thanks to White325is for the source).

10) New rear main seal, oil pan gasket, trans input seal, trans output seal, and selector rod seal (Installed: Thanks to Guten/ Source: Thanks to White325is)

11)Used Z3 1.9 Shift Lever with new hardware and late model shift arm(Installed: Thanks to Guten).

12)Used MOMO Leather Shift Boot (Installed)

13)New ZHP Weighted BMW M Shift Knob (Installed)

14)Used Fan and Fan Clutch (Installed: Thanks to Guten - Less than 500 miles): The original fan ended up breaking (see above). I ended up getting a good deal on both a fan and fan clutch.

15)Upgrade to 'i' cluster (installed: ***Cluster shows 202XXX miles, but subtract 30000 for real mileage; therefore, it has 172XXX miles): Bought an 'i' cluster since I was planning on swapping the M20B27 to a M50.

16)Used MTECH 1 Steering wheel with new MTECH badge (installed): Condition is about 7-8/10

17)Front Mint Condition Late Model Valence, with Front Plastic bumper, New Non-OEM Foglights, Turn Signals : (Valence is installed. Foglights needs the latemodel connectors) What can I say, I got a good deal on the valence, front+rear bumper hardware, shocks, front bumper, rear bumper already modified to fit the early model e30s. I like the look better than db's. The front bumper still needs some adjustments to fit nice and tight but its been really cold out and school just started so haven't had time to work on it.

18) Front New IS Spoiler from abrahams motorsport: I painted it flat black but it didn't come out so good. When I tried installed the clips that came with the spoiler onto the valence, most of them broke. I am planning to just install the spoiler using black tie wraps so that it I will be able to remove it whenever I need to.

19) Rear Plastic bumper already modified to fit early models and Rear apron cut from a late model e30: The bumper has not been installed yet since I am still waiting for the apron to arrive. I am most likely going to install both before selling but if buyer wants to do it himself/herself, then I will hold off till then. ***(See http://www.e30tech.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30004 for more details on "Project: Facelift")

20)Used Fenders (Thanks to Guten): The original fenders had rot holes. so I decided to get better conditioned fenders and paint them myself. One of them was diamond schwartz. It was in mint condition, so all i had to do was sand it down and paint it dark primer using SEM High Etching Primer in Black. It came out to be 8-9/10. The other fender was silver. It had surface rust, so I grinded it down to bare metal, through some rust neutralizer, bondo, sanded it down, and painted it with the same primer. This was my first time doing body work so it came out to be 7-8/10.

That is about $2.5K into the car.

The leather is in mint condition. They look really nice since I am the only one that sits in the car and drive it on the weekends.

Boohoo:

RUST: Now, the car does have some rust spots. The passenger side jack point has rotted. I was able to take out most of the rust and was planning to patch it up in a month or two while I do the engine swap. Also, there is a small rot hole on the passenger side quarter panel. It is not as big as the jack point hole. (Pictures are shown in 4th Post)

Here are a few problems:

1) When brewcity11 from Guten removed the engine while doing my clutch, maintainance parts, and radiator (see above), he noticed that some oil was leaking from the head gasket. I decided not to fix it for three reasons: 1) its an eta engine, 2) was planning on swapping out the engine to an M50 soon, and 3) motor still runs strong.

2) The car does not shift to 5th gear. Turk told me that it is most likely the Z3 shift lever since the bushing on the lever was FUBAR'd; thus, not allowing it to shift to 5th gear. He told me that he was going to fix it for me but I needed the car ASAP, so I decided that one day I would go back to him or just change the lever once I do the engine swap. I really do not care since I never drive fast anyways (its just a DD). Anyways, since I was planning on doing an engine swap, I did not want to fix it until then.

3) Turn signal does not go back to original position automatically after you turn for some reason. You have to manually put it back. No big deal.

4) If you look at the rear pictures of the car, you notice that there are late models lights on an early model car (mindboggling? Yes indeed). This was my first time purchasing an E30, so I really did not know the difference, until they spotted it out in my project thread. http://www.e30tech.com/forum/showthr...t=85315&page=2 The car was hit from the rear back in 2001. The body repair came out really good:

5) Car leaks little droplets of oil at extremely slow rates. It looks like its coming out from the oil pan nut.

6) brewcity11 from Guten told me that the front control arms need to be changed in a few months. Also, brakes need to be changed as well.

7) I am not sure if the AC works since its been cold outside ever since I got it. The heater does work though.

8) The body has small dings and scratches.

The car passes inspection. Runs and drives great. You can come by and test drive it to see for yourself. Never raced nor r3v'd it. I drive like a grandma with this car. I will make sure to post up pictures as soon as I borrow a camera. Also, will include all the receipts for the upgrades.

***Just found out that my rear apron is now on its way. Hopefully, I can get that done in the next few weeks.

Comes with a few extra parts I have laying around:

New Guibo: The one it has on now was in really good shape.
New Center Support Bearing: Also was in really good shape
4-Spoke steering wheel
***New 75deg Thermostat
***Bentleys E30 Manual
***Chilton Manuel

Price is: $2000 More pictures in 4th post. Has clean title. I am not willing to ship nor part the car. Location is in Queens, NY 11369. Best way to contact me at this moment is through PM's. If you are serious about buying, then I am willing to drive an hour distance from my home to meet up with you.

I will like it sold by April before leaving to my internship.

If I think of anything else, I will make sure to include it and put a * next to it.

Rear Apron with Rear Plastic BUmper! Just arrived. If buyer wants to put it on himself/herself, then I won't do it. But, I am planning on installing it once the weather gets better.
