    Pic Request - Gunmetal CSL's on E36 M3 (4 Door?)

    Hello everyone,

I'm close to buying a set of gunmetal VMR CSL's for my E36 M3.

I have a 97' 4 door - anyone have pictures of a sedan on these? I'd prefer a picture of a silver/4 door, but really, any E36 M3 with the gunmetal CSL's will do. Thanks!

PS - I have stock ride height - will the car sit weird with the CSL's and stock suspension?

    Thanks,

    Connor

CSLs don't look good on sedans. Trust me, I found out the hard way.

Thanks. Maybe that's why I can't find any 4 doors with them!

Fwiw - my Mom's E90 4 door has em' and it looks amazing.

What would you suggest? Maybe I should just save my $ and lower it and keep my contours for now.

Unfortunately this is not the case with the E36. :/

unfortunately those look more like 17s, and actually look good in the pic. But the 18in CSLs don't look that good.

FYI, they make the DForce wheels in Gunmetal too. It looks HAWT!

$250 a rim and only 16lbs each! That's 8lbs less than the stock rim. And YES you feel the difference going into a turn.

They are a little bit more than the CSLs, but worth every penny. Light, strong, and have better tire availability.

You're nuts What looks good on a coupe only looks better on sedans.

I'm at stock ride height, btw.

D-Force makes a mesh called "EmPower" which isn't exactly the same style as the CSL, but in the same ballpark:

Eric, take out the rear spring pads. Right now it looks like your car is taking a nose dive into the pavement.

I don't think the CSL looks good on Sedans, especially your car and my car. The Sedan already has enough lines, it doesn't need the wheel to help with that. The coupe on the other hand, benefits from the CSLs greatly.

The whole car really needs to come down an inch to look stellar although the rear pads is a good idea. It's the GF's car anyway... if it were mine I'd be rockin' some CC-dubs..... oh, and no spoiler.

Yep... they are very nice wheels but they just don't look right to me with the polished lips.

Its just a modern take on the classic mesh design and looks great on a sedan or coupe.

Both versions of the car have the same wheelbase, same front and rear overhangs, aprox same height, same width and the same styling cues/lines - so I have no idea how any wheel could look great on one version of the car and bad on another, but its all subjective.

Thanks for all the tips guys!

This looks stunning - what size (18's)?

Also, what's your suspension set up?

    Thanks!
