    Help with Bosch Red Coil

Today I received my new Red Coil from TEP. But when I try to connect the wire going to the distributor in the coil it's not compatible with my Bosch stock wire.

The original coil has like a terminal/connector inside the distributor wire socket (I know all of you know perfectly those coils), but the red one don't have that.

It's possible that TEP have send me the wrong red coil? Do I need new/different wires to use this coil?

Any help regarding this set up will be welcomed!

Different plugs/wires have different connectors depending on their vintage.
When I went red coil, I also swapped wires, plugs and a pre '79 cap and rotor to be 100% compatible.
If you haven't swapped out your plugs for AR52 or other resistorless plug and copper core cables, you're not going to see much benefit from the red coil alone.

See this thread for comparative connections

You can either change one end on a coil wire (because they don't make them with the 2 different ends), or switch to '77-'79 cap and wires.

Thanks to Josh for posting my thread in the FAQ. The pre-'79 rotor and cap are in the mail, plus a set of Jegs wires and plugs. Let see what happens!

    peace.
