    FS: outer door handle gaskets E32, E34, E36, Z3

The dealer does not sell them as single items, but only the much more expensive outer door handles complete. The cheaper solution:
One set of rubber trim for your outer doorhandles, 1 set = 4 pieces. Also available for 2 door cars like E36 Coupe, E36 Cabrio, Z3. Avoid creeping water and dirt inside your door when they get old and cracked, avoid damage to your door lock mechanism. The rubber is very pliable so it will make a good seal. It will fit all E32 - 7 series, E34 - 5 series, E36 - 3 series and the Z3 series.

    Prices:
2 door set $18 shipped by airmail, $30.00 per 4-door set including shipping by unregistered airmail, non-trackable ex Japan. In case you prefer shipment with tracking and registered: plus $5.00.
In case unregistered airmail is lost, this is beyond my control.Shipper is not responsible for any import duties, taxes or whatever in the country of destination.

Delivery time: ex stock as long as stock lasts.
    Payment: Paypal.
Send me a private message (PM) in case of interest with your complete shipping address and I will inform the Paypal account.

Are these the same as the ones sold on ebay from japan for the same price with the same pictures, that i bought, and when recieved they went straight in the garbage can because they are crap, brittle, and don't fit well at all.

the rubber is not pliable at all. Its brittle if anything. If you can prove otherwise with a video of you bending them back and forth without them breaking, better yet, just hold one in your hand, if it remains straight as cardboard then they suck, if it bends down to the ground and is pliable, then i'de be interested, if not, then well, you're better off selling to unsuspecting fleebayers, not here, thats for sure.

No way, I ordered a set of these a while back and they fit like a glove. Nice and pliable, and fit PERFECT. I read other posts about crap parts that had a ton of flashing, would break when installed and these are not like that at all. All four of them for my E34 fit perfect, no trimming necessary and once out of the package they were very soft.

They are shipped quickly and packaged individual with cardboard backers.

So to prove it, I went out at 9:00 PM and removed my door gasket just so I could show you. That should tell you something...This is my gasket which has been on the car for about 2 months now.

A point to note here, I don't take parts off my car at 9:00 at night for nothing. It is only because I think these parts are great and I would recommend them without hesitation.

Look how nicely it fits. The gasket overlaps the handle cover perfectly, not to tight and not to loose.

This one shows how it fits around the corners.

I see. forgive me for being so brash. As I stated earlier, the ones you have pictured are similar to the ones that went in the trash.

Shogun's seals are damn perfect. Soft, pliable, and precisely fitting. Totally top-notch product- these seals completely surpassed my expectations.

+1 with bdejong11129 post about the product and packaging.

Shogun's shipping time from Japan is First Class and it seem to be consistent across the forum to all parts of the world. The door handle gaskets are pliable and fit perfectly, took about 30 minutes all up with cleaning following the great write up by DavidC.

They are not the same as the ones offered on the bay, which are much stiffer, different material, less flexible and more difficult to install. Just read what people comment which bought them from me. See comments above.

Here a video how to do on the E36, made by jbate and his comment: This video will give you an idea of what you have to do while the handle is still in the door. First you need to pull the rubber cover back. I have seen a DIY where the guy used a paint gallon lid opener, I used a set of picks. The whole thing is done by feel because you can't see a damn thing. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGE7ncBE_vQ&feature=player_embedded[/ame]

instructions how to do the replacement here: http://twrite.org/shogunnew/fixes/bo...handle_gaskets

Often the blind plugs on the door are broken or missing, these you could also change on this occasion, the dealer has them for abt $ 1.50/piece. 4 x 51211975404 Blind plug 24X12 , pic is here http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/partxref?q=51211975404
    Part 51211975404 was found on the following vehicles: E87, E36, E46, E34, E39, E63, E64, E32, E38, E65, E66, E67, E31, E53, E70, E71,Z3 E36, Z4 E85, Z4 E86

Same gaskets for Touring and Sedan.

Got package today in an envelope with some very cool stamps. It took around 10-11 days to recieve the part. Immediately, I ran out to the car with a wire coat hanger with a hook in the end, a flat head screw driver, and the gaskets. Opening each door, it took about 3-5 minutes a door. Following the procedures shogun linked earlier, it was so simple and like Bedejong said, they are an amazingly smooth and perfect fit.
I would deal with shogun again without a doubt. a very quick, responsive trader who seems to be trustworth throughout the board.

Got them a few days ago in the mail. The packaging is organized thoughtfully, and the gaskets are rubbery and flexible. Installation was a snap. Thanks Shogun.

Received and installed on my 91 535i. Awesome fitment.

Fresh door handle gaskets isn't something most people will notice but they definitely do notice the trashed old ones... It is impressive how much these new gaskets clean up a car.

    Thanks again Shogun!

These door handle gaskets are the best available. Installed them same day. They are miles better than the plastic ones from ebay, which I purchased for another car; thanks again.. well worth the purchase

Excited to get them installed, washed the car and had some water sneak past the door handles today, so it's definitely time to replace these. Thanks to @shogun for the excellent and speedy service!

For anyone looking to replace theirs and have an E36 coupe, I found this guide http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/sh...im-Replacement
The only difference is the rubber flap instead of a normal plug seal

Edit: got them installed and they fit like OE. MINT.

    shogun;

Received my door handle gaskets yesterday and they are very impressive. I am very glad I ordered yours instead of some of the junk on ebay. I was also totally surprised by how quickly they arrived. Japan (been there) is a long way from the U.S. and they showed up in no time. All in all, one of the best transactions I have experienced in years.

    Thank you again

Got another set about a week ago. Still have Shogun's on my M5 and 525 from about three years ago and they look good as new. Just wanted a backup set in case Shogun retires...Ha.
