    Danish M3 e46 build up - Rebuilding with V10 for 2013 season

    Hallo everyone.

We are building a racecar here in Denmark, so we would like you to see, debate, queastion and criticue our build.
We have a shop, so we are doing pretty much all the work ourselves, except the engine management.
The first pictures are of a car we bought. After som thoughts, we decided to only use it for parts, and start all over. The main reason is the cage, which are build in the wrong specifikations for our class.
Its the white one. A '02 M3. We are pretty much using everything from it.
The silver car is the one we are bulding up instead. In some of the pics, it's damaged in the left side. That's repaired now.
    But now the pictures.

Please feel free to ask anything. I will update here as often as anything happens.

    Thanks.

    Mads

Looks nice (and very familiar lol).

How bad was the chassis damaged that it needed so much of the side rail removed?

Wow great work, how bad was the side that you needed to remove so much?
    Thanks,

    Thanks.

Yeah, i have watched a lot of the builds on here, and tried to take the elements i liked from each of the cages. Plus a couple of our own ideas.
And the seat is realy nice. It gives a good grip, but stil pretty comfortable.

It was'nt bad realy. We just removed a bit more than necessary, to ensure it was as strong as possible in the end. So now its as good and strong as before it was crashed.

There is going to be a diagonal. Just not fitted yet, because we hope to finish as much of the interior first, as it is really hard to get to the back when its installed. We also haven't fitted the harness bar yet.

The widebody kit and bumpers are from a german company called Flossmann Auto Design. And apparently its some copy of the original parts on M3 GTR.

    And some new photos.

    Mads,

Car looks great! Nice progress. Looks like you made a lot of reinforcement to the cage since those last pics you posted on e30.dk. Good work! When do you expect to finish the car? I would love to come and check it out when it's done. Summer time maybe........................

Thanks. It's the plan to have it done by summer. So you are of course welcome to come and have a look at it.
