    Oil Analysis In. Transmission To Explode....

    Just got the results of the oil analysis for my 2001 750iL with 76k. Engine, transmission, hydraulic system, and differential. It looks good except for the transmission that may explode ant any moment lol. At least is seems to work ok and the shifts are smooth. Although it hard shifts once in a while. I feel the "Lifetime Fill" is not a good recommendation for these transmissions. It should be maybe 50k or so to get good life out of them.

    Need to do a flush and fill with a filter. Anybody know a good Transmission shop in the New York tri state area other than the BMW dealers?

    I've thought about sending some samples out to them before. I didn't realize that they give personal comments on their readings, I thought you were kinda left alone to figure out what all of it means. Pretty neat stuff.

    Yea Blackstone is good about that. I have had many samples, and at times they can be downright witty.

    Hmmm, interesting....I have like 175k and tranny shifts good and smooth. However, I'm not sure if it's ever been done. Should I flush it or....???
