1991 - 1999 (E36) (1991 - 1999) The first modern 3 Series, the E36, was the model that paved the way for the 3 Series to be named "Car of the Year" every year since the model was driving off showroom floors. Radically redesigned in 1992, the E36 was not the same 3 Series as the E21 and E30. Larger, less boxy in design, and equipped with a dual overhead cam engine, multilink rear suspension, and a more finished interior, the E36 balances sport with luxury.

Keeping Her Alive! First year of VANOS edition.

Old and loving it. My loyal daily driver. I trust this car with, literally, ~550 miles each week.

It's a 1993 sedan, got the car with 135K on the clock a little over a year ago. At first it was a pretty subpar driving experience. Driveshaft coupler looked like a dead animal wrapped around the driveshaft. Rear shocks were godawfully shot Gas-A-Just's. Terrible flashy headunit, minor sings of abuse all over the place, blown speaker or two and so on. Paid $2700 for it.

It is at 170K and drives about three times as good as the day I first sat in it. I absolutely love the car now and will not sell this ever (even though I have a C36 AMG sitting in my drivetrain).

Drivetrain:
Turner injection chip
Driveshaft guibo
Fan delete mod
New water pump, themostat, radiator, belt328i exhaust

Ground control\suspension:

Rewelded differential mounts (ripped mine straight out by launching)
Bilstein Sports in the front
Bilstein HD in the rear
20mm m3 sway bar in the rear
Racing Dynamics green springs all around
Akebono Euro Ceramic pads
Powdercoated style 42s - single piece style

Interior:
M3 sedan front seats- manual, non-heated
Clarion component speakers front and back
Blaupunkt London MP48 headunit
15" sub with a Blaupunkt class A\B amp
Suede A+C pillars and a black headliner
Rechargeable BMW flashlight!
Ebay white leather boots
Budget short shifter kit with fresh transmission mounts

i don't know what the shifter is. Proper short shifter with all clips and washers. A friend gave it to me and even installed it for me. Proper vibration dampener in the selector. The apple is plastic, but works like a charm anyways.

Yeah the front was redone by me in the driveway in a few hours after I crashed the car with oversteer on an on ramp. Hood, bumper, nose panel, left fender.

If I wanted something to fit I would drive on the Kontour replicas that I have. They're still silver. But that will change come summer.
