| 1991 - 1999 (E36) (1991 - 1999) The first modern 3 Series, the E36, was the model that paved the way for the 3 Series to be named "Car of the Year" every year since the model was driving off showroom floors. Radically redesigned in 1992, the E36 was not the same 3 Series as the E21 and E30. Larger, less boxy in design, and equipped with a dual overhead cam engine, multilink rear suspension, and a more finished interior, the E36 balances sport with luxury. |

New engine...and the temp gauge still shoots up
Could there be any reason for this? Everything else is fine and the engine isn't even running hot. Its a 2.5L, just like my previous one. The head gasket blew and I ended up having to buy a new engine. Is there anything that could be going wrong?

Have you verified that the sensor is right? How about the gage?
Also you have one sensor for the gage and one for the DME, are they routed correctly? I actually swapped mine and saw little change for the typical gage reading even though the sensor ohm ranges are different... |
