Price dropped again! I want this gone! $4500 shipped.
I'm selling my AA stage 2 twinscrew kit for the OBDI '95 M3. This kit uses the 413 chip.
The kit is mostly complete. The parts that are not included are as follows:
1) Throttle cable
2) Upper radiator hose
3) Extended fuel lines
4) MAF wire extensions
5) Some aftercooler rubber hoses.
All other components are accounted for, as well as printed instructions. I can email you a PDF copy if you wish.
All of these components you can probably still get through Active Autowerkes, or you can just replace it with OEM components. The upper radiator hose I believe is from a '95 540i. You might want to check this thread for replacement parts. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...d.php?t=834319 If you must have the upper radiator hose, I can take out mine, but I would prefer not to since bleeding the cooling system on an e36 is a pain. I would recommend a new upper radiator hose anyways.
Two of the aftercooler hoses had to be cut because I couldn't get to the hoseclamp without severing the hose. So I just cut them. You can pick up replacement hoses at any autoparts store and they will cut them to length for you. I think I paid $1.50/ft for the aftercooler return hose when I lengthened it to get around my depo headlights. I would get new hoses all around just to start out fresh.
Fuel lines are standard and you can buy them at any auto store by the foot cheap.
Upon removal of the intake manifold and supercharger, one of the rubber gaskets was nicked, so I would recommend replacing it. They are the same gasket seals used on the M50 manifold. I would replace all of them just to be consistent since the manifold and supercharger assembly is off.
I have had this twinscrew supercharger for about 3 years and have loved every mile I've put on it. I made about 360rwhp on this kit with the 76mm pulley, about 335rwhp with the 88mm pulley and stock exhaust. These twinscrew kits are bulletproof, I've never had a reliability issue with mine in the 80,000 miles I've put on it. Oil in the twinscrew was changed every 10-12,000 miles. I've tracked it and never experienced any heat soak whatsoever. Rebuilds on the supercharger are not needed until 200,000 miles or more, so there is plenty of life left in it.
Included with the kit is the stock 88mm pulley along with a 76mm pulley for a boost bump. The kit originally came with the 88mm pulley and since then I've put on the 76mm pulley and had the tune modified by Karl at Active to be more conservative up top. I would only run the 76mm pulley if you are running a track pipe or have a custom exhaust that can flow equally well. I ran two vibrant racing cats and a modified merge collector on the stock exhaust system and saw about 11 lbs of boost at redline.
I am asking $5000 or best offer. I am located in Orange County, California.
Attached are pictures of the kit 95% removed from my M3. The rope attached to the manifold assembly is just a kludged harness I made from rope to lift the supercharger out with an engine lift. I can email additional pictures upon request.

Oh man i just started looking into buying a twin screw...why can't you be selling this like 4 months down the line when i have the money to blow on this.

bump for a great kit,
interested might buy it next month if i sell the m3
bump.
performance is fairly identical to the eurosport twinscrew, it's based off of the same compressor. nature of power delivery is identical. the tune on the eurosport may actually be slightly superior since it seems they make a little more power at the same boost levels, but it's impossible to get a hold of either josh or conforti for a tune modification. i have had my tune modified about 3-4 times and karl at AA is easy to get a hold of. i had the tune modified for california because of the 91 octane here, and have had the vanos points changed to accompany my engine specifically to make the crossover smoother. i still have the original tune though, and 3-4 other ones with notes on each of them. i have a rom burner, so i can burn them for all of you.
one thing to mention is that the aa kit comes with 42# injectors, so upgrading to a better tune for higher power is easy. the eurosport kit i believe runs 36# injectors or something like that, so you need a new tune and injectors. i didn't have to change it for my boost bump.
here is a dyno with the 76mm pulley. if you get a custom tune with this setup from Mike at TRM, I wouldn't be surprised if you hit 400rwhp with just a software change. below is a dyno. you hit about 70% of available torque at 2000 rpms.

a steal of a price for a rare item that drastically changes the performance of the m3. Good seller too.

thanks jon, bump!

I keep thinking about this kit. I wish it were obd2
OBD2 conversion isn't that bad I believe. I would have to talk with Karl at AA, but if the snout bracket belt assembly is the same, then there shouldn't be really much from making this work other than tuning. The manifold/supercharger assembly should bolt to either an s50 or s52 head.
Update: Spoke with Karl at AA regarding this issue and he says it should work fine. The main issue is the tuning.

wanna sell the m-power cover?
i'll throw it in for free if you'll buy the twinscrew!
still for sale!
price drop!

picture updated. all components pictured.
Nice kit!
One note, another thing you will need for OBD2 conversion is the OBD2 IAT adapter.
I don't know if Karl/AA has any of these available or not, but it is a relatively straightforward little piece. If you can't get it from Karl, I could probably provide a drawing for it so you can get it made.
So, bumperoni!
Have you been Screwed?
I so wish we didn't have SMOG police up here in NorCal :|
