suspension part numbers...

anyone have a list of 540i suspension part numbers for all the bits, control arm, tie rods, etc etc...all the "wear" items that should be replaced when doing a susp. overhaul...

im sure it has been posted I just cant find it..

just look at the realoem.com diagrams.


anything that has a ball joint or bushing is a wear item.

front:

thrust arms
tie rods
sway bar end links
upper shock mounts

rear:

upper wishbone
integral link
lower ball joint
lower control arm (i forget if the bushing are replaceable, but I don't think so)

the list looks really good for an overhaul, and if you enter the part numbers into our site you will see that a lot of those prices are high on realoem. I am assuming you did upper strut and shock mounts when you did the shocks.

I would suggest one thing however, and that would be to drop this stuff:

You would get the same Lemfoerder arms as you would by ordering with the above part numbers, but instead of the factory fluid filled bushings you get Meyle HD solid bushings, which is truly one of the best upgrades you can do to the front end of any e39. You don't have to take my word for it either, there is a good number of e39 guys who are running them. They also are just a bit cheaper than the realoem listed price.

We press the bushings in for you with our HD arms, so all you need to do is install the arm on your car. If you ordered as your list you would need a hydraulic press to put them in the arms before you could use them.
