Sounds like you have a leak. Get your system pressure tested before it gets worse.

coolant system is a sealed system. Not only on your car, but EVERY car. That means if you have to keep adding it.... it's going somewhere....

Is this your first car?

Get it checked may be as simple as a bad cap.

Are you sure you're not just overfilling it and having it blown out from under the cap?

^^^ what he said... top off when the motor is ice cold, it should be at the "kalt" (cold fill line) in the expansion tank.

Get it pressure tested, but even though the coolant system is a closed system the modern car runs at such a high temp that some coolant will eventually evaporate.

My car suffers a smiliar disorder

I had an issue with the cooling system - long story short it said it needed coolant and it wound up with a totally new cooling system (from a to z). No matter what I do (keep coolant at full) it decides it likes to operate at about half way down from the cold/full line.
The sensors are all good, it never says low coolant except twice a year and it is still at its 1/2 full self preferred level. The system has been bled, pressure tested, and as I said completely replaced.
I decided the car has its own mind...or some sensor is lying to it....or I don't know but everything runs smoothly and I keep a close eye on regular pressure test and coolant flush.
I have even had different shops do the pressure test....car has been like it since i bought her about 5 years ago.

The expansion tank should only be half full
