Pictures from the BMWCCA club race at Willow

I took some pics from the Saturday race from the balcony.

I have more but this is all I'm willing to edit for now. Sorry about the quality. I didn't exactly have the greatest amount of firepower attached to the front of my camera.

Enjoy

Thanks for looking

I see Vic has a new paint scheme since I last saw his car. The rear wing on Car's car seems to be hanging waaaay back there.

Nice shots. Makes me sad to be only watching.

Nice photos. Ya gotta love "golden hour" for taking photos.

How dark was it when the race ended? Did you need headlights by the end of the race?

I got my answer from the other post.

Sounds like a great weekend.

Thanks for the shots.

This is from race 1, about mid-way through, in turn 3.

There weren't doing any panning shots with a slow shutter speed, which gives the sense of speed. They were just clicking away with a fast shutter speed and the cars look like they're staying still.
I had 3-4 good shots by someone who knew what they were doing.

Nice pic.

One of the instructors got to go out in one of the race cars before lunch. He had a grin from ear to ear all through lunch. He couldn't get over "going flat out through 1."

I wasn't able to watch every race, but you seem to be flying on Sunday! Sofronas' car didn't seem to have a class designation, DM? Incredible setup on the Strom car - very compliant at bumpy Willow.

Thanks, Moton dampers do wonders and I had a chance to spend some time on the setup earlier in the year at a NASA event.

Sofronas' car is CM - S54 power. Moton shocks and all that but his diff seemed to be a worn out and he is still running steel doors and trunk.

No problem. For some reason the caliphotography people only shot from the inside of the track. It didn't make for the most flattering photos.
