1991 - 1999 (E36) (1991 - 1999) The first modern 3 Series, the E36, was the model that paved the way for the 3 Series to be named "Car of the Year" every year since the model was driving off showroom floors. Radically redesigned in 1992, the E36 was not the same 3 Series as the E21 and E30. Larger, less boxy in design, and equipped with a dual overhead cam engine, multilink rear suspension, and a more finished interior, the E36 balances sport with luxury.

Stick a fork in it, I think it's done! I hope you're alright, but it's too bad about your car, I don't think that'll buff out. I hope the other driver has insurance and you grabbed your neck.

I agree, be sure to properly get checked out as injuries can come sneaking up on you later in life but don't fake what you don't have.

I'm glad to see that you're still alive and I hope that the next car you choose will be just as safe.

Uh, yeah, that happens to be insurance fraud, which is not only a felony but causes my insurance rates to go up. If you pull that shit I hope you get caught.

Sorry to see that. I also totaled my black E36 sedan as well. I hope everything works out for you, and make sure you see a doctor and make sure there is issues with your back/neck!

if you relax in an accident your far more likely to have less injuries. Its when you tence up that your insides really get screwed up. Thats why drunk drivers walk away from accidents so often.

I feel your pain, I also was in an accident recently and car got totalled.

Glad you're OK, sorry to see that. The car did it's job in absorbing the impact so you didn't have to. One of the main reasons I bought my E36 convertible back in 2000 was how well they take a shot. I saw the aftermath of one hitting a tree on the driver side headlight, it drove the left front wheel back into the firewall. The drivers door still swung open like nothing happened. You'd need the jaws of life to open that door on most domestic vehicles. I hope you get a decent settlement from the insurance company so you can replace it, maybe even upgrade a little in this soft car market. Be sure to get a rental vehicle on their dime while you go car shopping for a week or so...

how long you got to go to the hospital to report the injuries anyone know cause after talking to my ins estimater today my lil check they offered is making me feel like shit. full coverage plus extra 2500 for performance parts and they try to say totaled is 1400.00 i checked n a d a and it said clean retail 4020 last night then when she(estimator) checked today it went up 5 to 4025. im pissed anyone know the time length for going to docs

I'm not familiar with MD insurance statutes, but in PA you have 2 years to file claims for both vehicle damage and injuries. The estimator isn't going to be swayed by the injuries, as they don't affect the value of the vehicle. The car and the medical parts of the claim are handled completely separate, perhaps even from different claim offices. Do you mean the estimate amount is $1400 or they're offering you $1400 for the car? In either case that figure sounds really low. By chance does the car have a reconstructed title? That subtracts a great deal from the market value, in most cases 50%. The real downside of that is they still collect full premium as if the car had a clean title... Best of luck, hope you feel better soon and get the insurance part settled to your satisfaction.
