1991 - 1999 (E36) (1991 - 1999) The first modern 3 Series, the E36, was the model that paved the way for the 3 Series to be named "Car of the Year" every year since the model was driving off showroom floors. Radically redesigned in 1992, the E36 was not the same 3 Series as the E21 and E30. Larger, less boxy in design, and equipped with a dual overhead cam engine, multilink rear suspension, and a more finished interior, the E36 balances sport with luxury.

Is it worth it?

Hey guys I've been searching for an decent E36 for my first car for a while and recently I came across this ad from a dealer:

Quote:
1994 BMW 325i

Only 91,000kms! RUNS EXCELLENT! Light Green/Tan interior, 1 Owner, with extra key and original owners manual, automatic transmission, leather seats with seat warmers!, sunroof, alloy wheels, power windows, mirrors, & locks, 4 wheel disc brakes with ABS, fog lights, cruise control, dual zone climate control. EVERYTHING WORKS! AND EVEN BRAND NEW TIRES!
(91,000kms = 56,500 MILES)

Here are the provided pictures:

THE DEALER is asking $5500 CAD for this car, which, at the current exchange rate, is roughly $5170 USD.

Now my question is, is this a good deal or no? What things can I say to justify lowering the price? Thanks for your help!

I'd say that's a decent deal. Hard to tell from the pictures the condition of the car, but from what I can tell at least the interior is good. I'd take it to a trusted mechanic to have a pre-purchase inspection done.

why is the mileage so low? rebuilt/salvage title? if not then it would appear to be a pretty good price for such a low mileage car.

morea blue green is an awesome color (i love mine and get lots of compliments)!

the exterior looks pretty good minus the unpainted lowers and bottle caps but that can be pretty easily changed, but i'd say thats a pretty good price for such low miles.

Take it to a mechanic to get it checked out before you buy it

Not worth driving an automatic...

Just kidding. The miles are real low, definitely justifies the price. God please paint those lower rockers ASAP though.

If I had to put a price on that car, I'd price it around 5k. So yeah that sounds about right. Get a pre-purchase inspection if you're serious about buying.

I have three words words for you:

History
History
History

If it's one owner, shouldn't be hard to get all the details.

91kkm is very low, so that makes it a pretty good buy I 'd say. But it still may need suspension rubber parts, water pump, battery, various other bits and pieces....

Too bad it's auto.
