oil change 1000 miles ago, oil light
I bought my m3 about 2 weeks ago and I put a 1000 miles on it. The day I bought the car, the shop did an oil change with 5w-30.
If I drive the car hard the oil light turns on for a split second. Only happens as i m taking fast turns and braking hard. I know the sensor isn't bad. Also I checked the oil level and it seems a little bit low. The car doesn't burn oil and its not leaking either. Where did the oil go? unless they didn't fill it up right. Also I thought Ms use different oil then 5w 30.

there is not enough oil in the motor - add more. when you turn hard the oil moves and throws the sensor.

You can use 5w30, but recommended weight is xW40 or higher. I'm running 5w40 Shell Rotella T synthetic.
Just so long that it isn't Mobil 1 5w30, because apparently it's too thin for what it is. You need 7 quarts for an S52. I usually do 7.5.
