I finally found a clean Hellrot...and i just sold my Modena :(

Hey Everyone,

As some of you may know i have been after a Hellrot/Modena M for a few years now always getting discouraged because it is impossible now a days to find a clean E36M especially a Hellrot... Well i got really lucky the other day and i came across one about 40mins north of my home with black leather vaders.

So i took a ride up and the guy was 2nd owner bought it with 38k miles in 1997 and took really good care of it. So i bought it right then and drove home extremly happy.

So that is part 1 of the Hellrot/Modena venture. I had just sold my modena interior a few days earlier giving up on the dream, haha talk about timing.

I am in the process of looking for modena agian and i know i will find some, even if i have to buy a car to swap it out of.

My question to you fellow members out there is should i swap in the Modena carpet as well? To give it the OEM feel? Or keep the black carpet?

Also i will prob have to enlist some help from anyone who wants to help so this does not take me 5 years to swap from car to car.

Feedback please and here is a quick pic i took earlier today

If you're doing a full blown swap out including the seats, then replacing the carpet isn't that much extra work. I'd love to help you out, but I'm too far away

You already know my thoughts on this situation. But I voted anyway. Keep the black carpet for contrast/cleaning reasons.

if you are swapping the entire interior it's not that hard to replace the carpet... so it's really your call. Either way it's a pretty decent weekend job.

I'm the one who bought his interior like 5 days prior to him getting the Hellrot lol... I say keep the black carpet or swap it out and use black floor mats... Modena carpet is a pain to clean up...

P.S here's a link to the the interior he sold me in my car with the before and after pics...

Hellrot/Modena, only color I would have the e36 in. So nice it's like another car all together. So who is this guy? $2500 for a whole interior? Jebus...
