I Just Got My First BMW!

I just got my first BMW for $300 bucks. I wanted a project to make a good street car out of. Let me know what you think. Everything works! Windows, mirrors, heat, everything. Runs and drives. 5spd. 6cyl. Rear wheel drive.

Here are some pictures.

I didnt clean it or anything. This is exactly how it was sold

It has a dried jumbo super-ball as a shifter knob. LOL

I am looking for aftermarket lights and what not. Mainly for a nice body kit for it.

Thanks,
-Steve

I don't like how far forward your shifter sits in 3rd gear. Something looks wrong, and its most likely that your motor and transmission mounts are shot which is something you need to fix quickly.

Other than that..this is an awesome find for 300 bucks!

Good job

please, PLEASE don't rice it... you can help the car a lot better if you spend the money on maintenance and exchanging parts instead of aftermarket (buttfugly) tails and a body kit (buttfugly too in most cases)

Welcome. As stated before, good looking car for little $$$. Start with maintenance and bring the car up to snuff mechanically. It does no good to have a pretty car parked on the side of the road with the flashers on. Get yourself a Bentley book and spend some time here on the forum reading up on common issues and that sort of stuff. If you do the work yourself and use wisdom sourcing parts you're going to have an inexpensive reliable ride in short time.
Good luck.

Not a bad find for a beater. It's definitely a project, though I can't stop laughing at how far up that handbrake lever goes and how far forward that shifter is. Reminds me of when mine was like that; now I can't even brind the handbrake lever past the 2nd click.

Soon all of those problems will be gone, because it's a looooooong slippery slope, an E30 is.
